I agree, there is much that could be improved and much more id like to do. Unfortunately getting professionals who have time and interest on board and access to equipment etc is a task in itself. Then of course then there's funding.
i did yes. did i misread he post?
i agree testing more filters and methods are definitely in order. id almost be tempted to just try to filter some non usp grade oils
it was labeled as sterile. how true that is is hard to say.
I haven't seen anything establishing this to be a true statement. clearly in this case it did not. if its true then the quality of the filter clearly matters as im sure the method does as well. that said its obviously working for...
That's a great question. That was one of things we were trying to figure out. Unfortunately a sample size this small isn't going to give us that answer. So far as I know nobody has tested a shitload of ugl and or pharmacy testosterone under a microscope to establish a "whats normal" and...
I don't see how naming the ugls is going to do anything but cause the point to be lost. Nothing here is a professional evaluation proving causation or anything other than crap was found. I have no idea what the limit for crap in your gear is and neither does anyone here so far.
I'm sure there...
Photos were taken with a phone and done in someone's spare time so of course they're shitty. That's unfortunately the best we can do ATM with our current means to share the view. Maybe I'll invest in my own scope and proper camera at some point but for now this is what I have to share.
They are...
this i believe was the pharma a test. no bacteria just fat bubbles and some very small debris. Ignore the little line in all the pics the camera lens picked something up.
this was the bad batch ran though a "cheap" .22um ptfe syringe filter. as you can see it certainly didnt fix anything and now there's what we assume is junk from the filter/filter media that is now in the sample. there may be benefit to flushing the filter with sterile water or something first...
this is a clean ugl sample. by comparison it was worlds cleaner than anything we tested which was very surprising. mostly fat bubbles and practically no bacteria.
attached are some pictures of the bad batch sample. they said they saw some bacteria lots of cocci bacteria, celular debris and crystaline structures and debris. no socks fortunately
Yes like in a hospital. Just the microscope for now unfortunately but I'd love to make some connections that would allow for more testing.
I did actually get to send a batch of good ugl yes.
Ok so recently I got a bad batch of gear. out of curiosity I reached out to a friend who happens to work night shift in a lab to see if they might be interested in tossing a sample under a microscope. of course my friend was just as curious as I am so here we are.
