first, I am Chinese, so I can understand what the document says.

second, I read it twice, it doesn't metion steroids, or export or anything relate this industry, you can translate the whole page and command/control+F, imput these key words, you couldn't find anything.

third, it is just a document to let online seller be more strict with what they are selling, seller should know where the medecine is produced, and check whether you have the license to sell this kind of medecine, and you should know who you are selling, etc.

fourth, I think the key will shut down the production of steroid is environment pollution, now environment protection is very important in China now, but the characteristic of Chinese government is they will give you a long time to prepare, just like this legislation is out on August, and will be put into effect in Decemember. Currently I didn't hear any news that Chinese government will ban the production or exportation, steroids is a very tinny industry in the whole Chinese Chemical industry. But everyone of us should be ready that day come.

I'm interested in your perspective on many things. Do you think that day will ever come when the Chinese production is completely shut down? What do you think the after effects will look like?

if your thoughts is correct, the majority of chemical factories should located in the costal city. but looks like the situation is not correct. and many industries' polution is higher than chemicals.

as for the ambition of Chinese to do the environment protection, you can see this from many official documents, and the changes of planted area, air equality, etc.

I prefer that costal city developed earlier than western area, and the steroid factories were just established in a more developed area. and transpotion, market distance, labor quality make the steroid factories stay in costal city. actually they are not a costal city, just next to costal city.

frankly it is very hard to say or predict it correctly, because we only konw what happened yesterday. back to last month I would say the pollution is a key which will shut down this industry, but now I think the situation changed and another problem might be more serious than pollution. I only can say MIGHT, because I'm just a proletariat, not the decison maker.
