How did this board start?

Since being a member I’ve wondered how this board got its start. From bits and pieces of info through posts was it from a mix of Reddit and meso branch off?

Either way I’m grateful for its existence and glad I somehow stumbled on here without being on meso or Reddit sub forum.

This started after the original sub reddit was shut down. It had nothing to do with meso. A mod can correct me if I'm wrong but I joined the same Month it was started.

Yes, they had their own thread just like here. The only source left here from the Reddit days is Lock and Load, still doing well too.

This is correct. When the sub was banned by Reddit admins. Not anything to do with Meso.

Lol I remember and miss the reddit days kinda. If I remember correctly 'incels' somehow made their way onto sst and because of them posting threatening shit here and other subreddits that spotlighted us and that was part of the ban. the new setup is definitely legit but some crazy shit used to go down haha.

I believe the sub got shut down because people were shilling fertilizer as a fat loss drug (Idk if the name of the product is allowed here), then we found out the original maker was compromised due to his own involvement with said fertilizer and some dumbass kid dying from using it, and now we're here shitposting.

No, no explanation for the subreddit ban was ever given to the moderators. Any theories are merely conjecture. That being said it's fairly typical for communities related to discussing sources for controlled substances to be banned from Reddit. There's no reason to believe that AAS source discussion was otherwise acceptable, if that were the case we would probably still be on Reddit in a new sub with rules against mentioning DNP.

Also the story regarding a moderator selling someone DNP and them dying sounds like something simply entirely unrelated to SST, if it happened at all. There is a DNP subreddit and its quite possible something similar happened there, but I wouldn't be privy to any such information.

It certainly sounds adjacent to our former community but to the best of my knowledge he was never a mod for SST and certainly was never the "owner". If I recall correctly, the individual who originally opened SST on Reddit was from Australia, though he was not particularly active in any capacity. When Reddit removed the sub a number of users did make attempts to claim it as their own community but I like to think it ended up with the appropriate stewards.

This is a good reminder, however, as to why we don't allow sourcing of DNP on this forum. Anabolics and other PEDs are not trivial nor are they to be meddled with, however their acute risk profile is far lower than that of DNP. Whether this Scorpion character's customer was deliberate with their suicide or it was an accident, we have chosen not to associate ourselves with that particular compound.

i remember when i started hearing about people using DNP to lose weight bc it stops your cells from creating energy or something like that. theyd say they take it and get a massive fever and have to lay in an ice bath. that shit was insane
