How to transition from Test P to Test E properly?

How would you go about transitioning from a blast of Test P ED injections back to a cruise of Test E once a week injections?

I would not cruise on Test E if I want to pin once a week. If I wanted to pin once a week, I would use Test U. Test E I would pin twice per week.

To answer your question, if you are transitioning to a cruise, you can just drop the Test P and start the Test E. If you want to taper and have a smoother transition, go plot it on steroidcalc.

I agree with stoney. If the whole point of this exercise is stable blood levels, pin E 2x a week, on a 3.5 or 3/4 schedule.

I did some really quick scenarios is steroidcalc. Just switching cold-turkey really isn’t that bad. You get a ~20% drop below cruise levels for the first week or so while the E ester kicks in, but otherwise it’s nothing I’d really worry about. The only other possible way to do it would be to start pinning Test E about a half a week before you drop the Test P. I think you’re going to get a little spike in test levels that first week then you’ll drop to your cruise levels.

You could probably work out some super complicated taper but it’s definitely not worth the time spent. Just switch.

This is how I usually do it and imo this is the right way.

Sorry to hijack your thread @“vers002” but I have a similar question- would transitioning from test E to test D/U similarly not need a taper, i.e, I could just stop pinning test E and start pinning D/U?

I don’t mind, it’s good to get as much info as we can get long as it all stays on topic!

No you are going to want to either taper or front load your Test E/U.

Test U has a long half-life, and it takes about 15 weeks to reach saturation. So if you are stopping Test E and go to Test U you test levels will fall. You can plot this all on steroidcalc.

Is the taper still needed for test D do you reckon?

Maybe a little bit would help, half-life is ~7 days IIRC, so less than double Test E. Not as big a deal as Test U and you could probably get away with 0 taper if you want.

So basically…

Start pinning Test-E a week and a half before dropping Test-P keeping levels more stable or slightly higher…

or

Start Test-E soon as you drop Test-P and you will have a slight dip in levels but nothing to worry about.

Correct?
