Why does Meso hate on SST so badly? I mean they say a ton of these accounts are shills, but I honestly spent like 10 hours broken up into different times just to look at people's activity who have accounts on here, and most seem like legitimate people. I get there are some discrepancies too tho...
I mean, dude aren't we all in this together, trying to get jacked while finding credible sources? Like I'm all for calling out a source that has some discrepancies, cause we don't wanna be ripped off, or put some fucked up gear into our bodies..
Why do we have to be so divided? Gets me wondering what the agendas are..
I have had great success with all the sources I’ve used from both boards. And have used several from each board. There are still some good guys and good discussion on Meso. I actually spend most of my gear related forum reading on Meso.
IMO, ownership and censorship is important to me regarding my forum usage. I don’t believe I have ever been censored or muted on either Meso and here. And I’ve said some fairly bold statements on both.
promuscle is highly scrutinized and very strict. It’s like the owner couldn’t be anymore of censoring, liberal fella that will allow political talk and Covid coverage that he was ok with and not the other side. Despite both being supposedly against the rules. Promuscle had so much potential but the owner and mods have basically pushed out all the members that were pro gun, pro Christian, pro freedom, anti-vax over the last 4-5 years so that place can suck a lemon for all I care.
UGBodybuilding is a little more allowing of political and vaccine talk but it’s just a super boring board and terrible if you are looking for a new source to try. Plus the mods are nerds. But at least the owner seems to allow better discourse from both sides. It’s just boring and not super fun or informative.
I actually like ASF too. Many freedoms are allowed there and there seems to be a good mix of old gear heads and newbs wanting to learn how to do things safely and properly. I really like that board, actually. But there’s something about the actual platform idc for. Hard to pinpoint but I think it’s a software thing that makes it not my favorite.
Anyways, Meso is very well run and there are still some heavyweight members from yesteryear that lurk in the shadows there and only occasionally post. I also like this board because of the quality sources I’ve found here as well as I don’t feel like I’m going to be banned and censored if I say something pro Trump or pro America, freedom, gun, whatever…. Both here and Meso are good and probably my two favorites.
I was sad to see they shut down the bodybuilding.com forums recently. 15-20 years ago the Misc on bb.com was pure gold. Probably liberal censorship that ruined it too but idk for sure. Could have been too many lawsuits too lol. It was awesome back then. Like playing Russian roulette every time you logged on and perused the miscellaneous subforum.
He was ushered in by some of the big boys at the time.
