Semen testing? (Vasectomy)

About 3 years ago I had a vasectomy and never actually got tested to ensure I'm shooting blanks. I have since moved and no longer have access to the clinic that I had my vasectomy at. I know the likelihood of me shooting live loads is really low since I had a vasectomy and I'm on testosterone, but it would give me a piece of mind. Is there anything online similar to PM Labs that would allow me to test my sperm?

You can buy a cheap microscope for around $70, glass slides, cover slip, immersion oil for 100x lens. You could heat fix a slide, add wright stain, let dry to make the sperm stand out.

You collect sample, let sit for couple of hours to liquefy and then add a drop on a slide, cover slip and then using oil immersion scan 30 fields with the light turned down on the scope so you can get better contrast with the edges of sperm cells. Sperm could possibly show motility if there is any. If you see no sperm then you know you're safe.

Microscope can come in handy for all sorts of other stuff as well, so it's not a waste of money or space.

Never even considered doing it myself. Haha. Thank you!

I’ve done just fine visualizing my own sperm with 400x no oil immersion and no stain. Of course, using the oil immersion will allow you to magnify more and the contrast helps a lot. Certainly beats going to a lab each time!

If you do the self test with your own microscope remember to not ejaculate for at least 3 days before you do the test.

And yes you can do it with high dry 40x objective, it's just that the oil immersion of 50x or 100x makes it easier to learn what you're looking for and then widen the field of view by using 40x(high dry) which will allow for a wider field to make sure you don't miss any sperm cells.
