In my opinion I think the bringing of impurities testing is beneficial to the UGL community. After all there isn’t much data from UGL sources or even homebrew guys on what might be in raw materiel for the unaccounted %.@Matrix what's your take on impurities in raws currently? I know I took a lot of heat at Meso for bringing up the idea of "USP-like" testing protocol and standards, but I am curious your take. You seem to me to be a serious, conscientious person in these matters. At less than $5 additional cost per 10 ml vial (for reasonable sized source), seems like it could be a real point of differentiation for a source.
Let's say you test a stanozolol raw at 92% or even 95% via HPLC. Thoughts on the other 5 to 8%?
Pharma products are tested for a host of impurities including residual solvents, metals, elemental impurities, organic side products, endotoxins, sterility, etc or aka "heavy metals" to many at Meso haha.
Genuinely curious in your thoughts. Am I making a big deal about nothing or reason to be concerned about relatively low purity raws making it into UGL products?
Lowest cost wins the day or you think this type of testing could catch on in the UGL space?
Thanks for considering my questions and any feedback is appreciated.
Matrix going above and beyond as usualIn my opinion I think the bringing of impurities testing is beneficial to the UGL community. After all there isn’t much data from UGL sources or even homebrew guys on what might be in raw materiel for the unaccounted %.
I think sources are resistant to the testing of impurities because it’s so foreign and briefly spoken about it. So many just look at that 92%-99% and consider that pass without even thinking about what the other 1%-9%.
The more this topic gets brought the more engaged I become in knowing more about it.
You could be onto something with all this but we’ll never have a definite answer on the topic until we as sources start testing for impurities.
If those results come back negative we’ll know it as necessary.
The next time I send off for testing I will include heavy metals analysis, and endotoxins. If the results come up positive I would be inclined to further test more samples.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Much appreciated. I am new here, but my impression is you are a class act. Very generous of you. I see Jano offers the latter testing as well now.The next time I send off for testing I will include heavy metals analysis, and endotoxins. If the results come up positive I would be inclined to further test more samples.
Curiosity breeds improvement, Matrix is indeed a class act. When I purchased through him he was immensely helpful and patient and you can tell he’s a solid guy. Constantly updating his repertoire and testing even asking the thread for input on what they’d like to see in the future. Definitely a wayward heavy hitter.Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
