Done plenty of home brewing and have learned a lot on here. However decided to give test base a go and can’t really get it to clear up and dissolve like every other compound. I must be missing something I’m using MCT oil and the standard 2%ba and 18%bb. Done tons of searching and not really much info out there. Should I bump up the BB? Or do I need to add more heat? I typically use as little heat as needed to get raws to dissolve before filter. Any help is appreciated thanks!

Different products have different melting points. the melting point of Test E and Sus250 is very low, and the melting point of other products is higher. don’t know what product you are dissolving.

I don’t brew but mine always has guiacol in it. What is the reason for that?

It helps dissolve but also causes PIP, so I tried to avoid using it but maybe I’m gonna have to.

From what I understand, test base and tren base are basically solvents themselves and they are not supposed to be suspended in oil themselves. Everytime I've homebrewed test and tren base I've done it using bacteriostatic water. This keeps it from crashing as well as reducing injeon site pain.

You used bacteriostatic water, the same way you reconstitute peptides?

When I did bases and base blends, I will typically put 20% bb in the beaker first, add in about half your expected volume of MCT (Mig works way better for this) then add heat. Once you're up to temp, you'll maybe 5% guaiacol to start, let it mix well then let it cool and see if it holds. If it doesn't, heat it back up and add more guaiacol, volume depends on how much crashing you had, and repeat the process till it stops crashing. Then add the remaining volume of oil based on how the math works from how much guaiacol you had to use, then let it cool and add the BA. You can use a set guaiacol % that is reasonably high, but I've found that if you do it this way you can end up using a decent amount less and the brew will be smoother, however the % of guaiacol changes from batch to batch of raws based on my experience.

Bac water with bases will not work unless the raws are micronized, and they are going to hurt, like all water based suspensions.

Isn’t guaiacol a super toxic solvent? Is there another alternative to using guaiacol?
