Topical finasteride

Has anyone here tried topical finasteride? Looking into it as I’m nervous about the potential permanent sexual side effects from oral fin. Wondering if anyone has any anecdotal experience

Topical finasteride eventually goes systemic the same as taking it orally, I believe topical dutasteride does not.

I’m on oral fin and have had absolutely crazy results. I legitimately went from balding to a lion’s mane of hair within 1-2 years. I tried it once before and was so mentally worried that I would have issues that within a week I had ED issues and discontinued medication. However this last time around I was in a better place mentally and have had zero issues. I don’t dispute that some people have had a bad experience, but for me personally it was clearly in my own head and now it’s smooth sailing with a full head of hair just by popping a small pill a few times a week. Way easier than putting some smelly ass cream on my head every night, can’t imagine that’s a turn on for someone’s partner, otherwise I’d already be doing it haha.

I’ve ran oral a few times…and it always starts old good for a month or two then the drop in systemic dht always ends up resulting in eventual over aromatization…(never any ED symptoms tho) then I stick it out w a slight increase in AI but once hair fills back in I get off bc of it. I’m about to start either topical RU58841 or topical fina and see how it goes

I’ve always been curious. If your on Fina… and you’re on a DHT derivative… doesn’t that block the DHT derivative?
