I’m positive a prosecutor would find it quite reasonable based on his admittance to placing the order and the pack existing with his name and address as sufficient evidence to charge him with possession of the illegal substance. Nothing would come of it though because obviously he would work with them.

At the end of the day the only thing that matters is everyone should be aware of what happened including the lab and people can form their opinions from there.

Sources beware, master splinter is among us
Remember folks, if you're not under oath don't say shit. You know nothing, you saw nothing. You didn't order shit.

It's also not lying if you're going to be unreasonably punished for telling the truth, or if the other person would be vehemently unreasonable in their reaction. Good rule of life for relationships too. Don't ever lie. But it's not a lie if the other person puts you in a position where you're forced to.

In the USA we don’t have to EVER say anything (unless you are subpoena to testify at a grand jury proceeding AND you have also been granted immunity). If those criteria are met and you refuse to testify the judge has the option to hold you in contempt.

Resisting interrogation happens to be one of my interests. Others are psychology, behavior analysis, etc. It’s helpful for people to have a phrase/ single sentence to repeat without deviating if ever you are peppered with questions, etc from law enforcement. This “routine” is easier to stick to under pressure and will have the effect of them pretty quickly coming to the conclusion that their questioning is fruitless.

A favorite of mine is “That conversation doesn’t interest me officer.”

I don’t answer to government, government answers to me (us). Learn it. Live it. Love it.

6th amendment is your friend and the only component you need in a reply to any LE question if you are indeed being legally detained.

Even that can be potentially problematic nowadays.

See

James Duane does a fantastic job covering this in his book. True hero.

I think the Salinas case was about someone who stayed silent WITHOUT “invoking” his 5th amendment right.

I don’t know if it was Salinas but I also recall a case where the suspect was talking and answering questions from police, and then all of a sudden after one particular question he all of a sudden clammed up. I believe the ruling was that in this particular circumstance his silence was allowed to be used against him. (Pattern of answering a bunch of questions up until one particular potentially incriminating question like “Susie gave you the knife the night before, right”? to which he all of a sudden went mute). Shitty ruling IMO but I think that was the issue. THAT was able to be used against him whereas if he was just silent from start to end 5th amendment protection applies and there can be zero assumption of any guilt whatsoever.

Although in the face of only silence cops can keep asking questions and applying psychological pressure whereas if someone says “I won’t be answering any questions without my attorney present” they need to stop the questioning. They can try again later but can’t continue if the 5th Amendment is invoked one again.

We are all wrapped in the cloak of presumed innocence as outlined in the Constitution regardless of what cops say or imply. Their job is to get you talking.

Words never spoken by criminal defense lawyers: “I wish my client talked / talked more to the police.”

my mom always said " DONT VOLUNTEER INFORMATION",, lol
Good advice.
I mean some people are just flat out stupid and don't have much common sense and/or they are naive and easily tricked.

Then you have the ones who think they are smarter than the investigators. They willingly answer questions and the majority of the time, they find out the hard way that if they were truly smarter than the investigators, they would have shut their gashes immediately and offered nada.

More details if you want them. Easy read and worth the time.

Do not worry about sounding polite. Simply say four words “I want a lawyer.” And no more.

The last time i got pulled over(for nothing) i merely cracked my window handed my dl and stated , " i don't answer questions without my lawyer present, and i do not submit to search&seizure", And with that i remained in car and after they ran my name , they came and gave me my dl and said have a nice night,, A.C.A.B. !! Know your rights people,,

My God you guys over-think this. If law enforcement shows up at your door, say any one of these three things:

"I have nothing to say."

"Do you have a warrant?"

"Is that Level 4 body armor?"

...anything else, and you're just digging a hole for yourself.

Domestic seizures are becoming more and more common. Visits from the Postal Inspector where the seizures take place are, not surprisingly, also on the rise. Another tactic to add to the ones already mentioned, can be employed to both International and Domestic pkg's. It's not a tactic that will keep anyone from being arrested but it can give your attorney something to work with and keeps plausible deniability in play.
You'll need some patience. Some guys that I recognize from other sites are most likely tired of reading it. Write "Return To Sender" and place the pkg near your front door. In most cases...if not all, controlled deliveries will happen within 24hrs. Usually within 2 hours if there is a device to alert LE when the pkg is opened. You weren't expecting anything.

I, unfortunately, have had a Postal Inspector in my living room along with a few FBI agents as well as local LE lending support to the feds. This was 18 yrs ago and it wasn't a controlled delivery. A Federal Indictment had been unsealed and an arrest warrant was being served. Seems so long ago until I remember that I was only discharged from Federal Probation 7 yrs ago. The Postal Inspector was there because I had shipped a pkg to a client I had sent pkg's to a few times over the course of 15 months or so. ORD(operation raw deal) had been in full swing for some time. Unlike some federal stings ORD didn't wrap up with warrants being served at the same time on the same day. It was an initiative that saw men(and a female or 2) indicted over a years time. The more people taken into custody the more info was gathered and more indictments were signed off on.

Not sure why I went into that other than I'm known for long winded posts. The things being said about LE not caring about the end user and his personal use stash is true to an extent. Know this, the Feds take seriously any illegal drugs being sent through the gov't owned USPS. Also taken seriously are those illegal drugs(schedule 3 AAS included) being sold online. Their point is that anyone can order online and I've been told by an FBI agent the day I was picked up and again by my sentencing judge that its the children that are in danger and that they are protecting by taking me off the streets.

Also remember....just because you went to sleep in your own bed after that postal inspector paid you that visit, doesn't mean you'll be in your bed next month. They are in no hurry. When the indictment is unsealed your name could very well be on it. The gov't is fond of Conspiracies. There can be as few as 2 actual names on a conspiracy to distribute indictment along with "other individuals known and not known to the gov't." There can also be 5, 10, 20, 50 and so on names on a conspiracy indictment. The first name on the conspiracy indictment is the "Leader". That lead role can fetch an enhancement of 2, 3 or even 4 offense levels on the Federal Sentencing Guidelines. The higher the Offense Level the longer the Prison Sentence will be.

The other thing that the Guidelines take into account is the individuals Criminal History. US Probation interviews every defendant and determines his Criminal Category. Its starts at Criminal Category 1 and goes up to 6. You go down the chart to your offense leve.. Lead role in a conspiracy will have you go down 2, 3 or 4 more levels. Then you go across the chart to your Criminal Category which is figured by misdemeanor and felony convictions and time served(a year or more adds points as does your being on probation when the crimes occurred.

Off track again. I was speaking to the owner of Dynasty Pharm(UGL) the day after he was visited by the feds asking about how many western union transfers he collects daily. He was the "Target" of an investigation. He slept in his bed that night and told me he felt good about things. A month later he was taken into custody.

@BBBG , you may remember member Masterofron(sp?) at meso? Think it was the Symbiotics thread where he revealed he had been visited by a postal inspector on more than 1 occasion and was feeling pretty good about himself. He was indicted and served a short year or 2 stint in Federal prison. He's home now, by the way. Came to light that he was one of the owners of ExpressPct(it was express something?) Thcilitye 3 examples I've used so far have been the sources themselves so I don't know what my point is there.

However, member @Wunderpus called me when his neighbor/friend was being visited by a postal inspector after receiving an order from a former member turned source(I cannot remember his name for the life of me!!) When the source was eventually indicted and picked up so was the neighbor. The feds work a bit differently than your local LE who will offer you a get out of jail free card on the spot for your assistance at the time of the visit. The feds will pick you up and take you to the closest federal holding facility in regards to where the case originated. The feds have contracts with different county jails if the MCC or MDC is a bit far away. They will put you on Con Air(its a real thing) at their leisure if they want.

The neighbor had a personal use amount. The feds will offer the neighbor the opportunity to be "Queen For A Day" and assist them in the prosecution of the source. He can receive a "5k1" which is a letter from the prosecutor to the neighbors sentencing judge advising him that he provided substantial assistance in prosecuting the source. The judge will then grant the neighbor a downward departure from the sentencing guidelines. In the meantime the neighbor lost his job, lost his reputation and his wife turned to prostitution to make ends meet while her husband was away for what was a sentence of a year and a day. Sounds silly but that sentence allows for "Good Time" to be taken off his sentence which amounts to about 10 months in a federal prison(the judge can also have such a short sentence be served at a federal halfway house.

I know guys who had visits may be sick to their stomachs after reading this. That wasn't my intention. Chances are nothing will happen to you. I'm serious. I just get agitated when I read guys who really don't know what their talking about tell everyone not to worry. I lived the nightmare. There's so much more. Ghost dope. RDAP. And I could go on and on. I guess I just did?

Always an invaluable perspective offered by @biggerben69. Ryan Rupp is telling his story everywhere that will allow him. It’s an interesting one, but I imagine it doesn’t come close to what we would hear from you. Always well-written and always informative.

Definitely good to see you over this way

There’s a lot of people that make things up on the internet, but you’re not one of them. The level of detail and intricacy is both insightful and impressive, and that really sucks that happened to you

I mean I’m sure he definitely asked questions about it.

Doubt he would go there just to pat him on the back and be like “it’s ok man. Just don’t do that”. They wouldn’t waste their time with that nonsense. They were probably conducting an investigation if they were there, and yes op probably did probably give them whatever information they were looking for after shitting his pants and confessing

But I don’t think op would have any information that would compromise the source. The return addresses are fake.

Still though.. him rolling at just the sight of an authority figure is a bit soft
Wait a minute…. So my package from the Toyota dealership wasn’t just a front? You’re telling me it was fake!? Fuck man, I need to delete that review I left for speedy delivery 😂🤣

I just get agitated when I read guys who really don't know what they’re talking about tell everyone not to worry. I lived the nightmare. There's so much more. Ghost dope. RDAP. And I could go on and on. I guess I just did?
My man deserves a book deal. I know someone here has the plug. If I did, we’d be making millions together sir 🫡
