Lol for 2lb of 97/3 beef (I usually use flank steak but it wasn't thawed in time)
Dice a big yellow onion and 5 cloves garlic(or more depending on how much you like garlic) and saute
Cook beef until done? Lol
Then add in
.5 cup soy sauce
.5 cup brown sugar or maple syrup
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp pepper
1 tbsp ground ginger
1 tbsp Gochugaru(add more next time if you like it spicier)

Simmer it until it's reduced (5-10 minutes)

Toss it over rice and add whatever toppings you like, I like to add scallions, sesame seeds, and a thinly sliced red chilli of your choice, whatever the supermarket might have. I didn't have any sesame seeds tho

If you use flank steak I cook it before everything else just to make sure it gets nice and crispy
That actually looks and sounds amazing. Might have to give this a try soon

This is shockingly similar to the recipe ive used for years for ground beef.

Ive been preaching the soy sauce and light brown sugar combo for a while and this is the first time ive seen someone else doing it.

You sir, have excellent taste.

My dad took the same recipe and uses it to make stuffed peppers on the grill.

Oh that's a good idea.

Another thing I'll do is do a 50/50 regular soy sauce and dark soy sauce and add a couple tablespoons of rice wine vinegar to the recipe, boil it down for a few minutes and thicken it with corn starch and use it as a bbq glaze for chicken

Man, some of your guys' recipes look good!

Sunday meal prep day...

this week's menu (I'm lame and eat mostly the same stuff every day for a week at a time to keep prep easy):
-----------------------------------------------------------------

pre-workout (I workout early in the AM):
smoothie:
- almond milk
- scoop whey protein
- tbsp peanut butter
- cup of frozen berries
banana

post-workout meal (have a whey + creatine shake at the gym before I get home):
chicken
white rice
oatmeal
date

mid-morning snack:
dried tart cherries

lunch (pictured below)
chicken
quinoa
broccoli

afternoon snack
protein or meal replacement bar between meetings

evening (1-2hrs before bed)
cottage cheese
tbsp EVOO

Makes me realize I’ve been slacking on the food pics. I’ll get some up tommorow, although I usually just eat the same boring ground beef meals everyday 😅

Usual post workout meal. Ground beef and potatoes.

Added a new sauce to it. My local grocery story sells a sweet and spicy siracha sauce from chicfila. Pairs very well taste wise with beef, 10/10

+ 1/2 of the fairlife 2% (0.75L total)

This. It’s so good honestly going to be my new go to for a while.

0 fats, but it does have sugar. Not terrible for a post workout insulin spike though

Post workout today. Rice, saffron pan seared chicken breast, oats on fairlife 2% with a shit ton on cinnamon, and not pictured: 2 dates (already ate them) and a shake at gym with 1 scoop whey and 5g creatine before driving home

Btw, how many of you guys include veggies in your post workout? I try and avoid them pre and post, but need to up my fiber so thinking of adding some.

I mean ideally a little bit every meal. It’s good for digestion as well as micronutrients. I wouldn’t add so much vegetables that you start limiting your carbs and protein due to food volume though. Load up the carbs and protein post workout

@Ateam2024 i usually do 8-12oz post workout. Depends on appetite. Hbu?

i have been just limiting my veggies to evening meal, the amount of "trace macronutrients" are so little imo that i just eat them because thats how i was raised lol , but i don't even count the minuscule calories that my 3/4 cup of veggies offers, i dont even want to take up space with a 1 cup serving,, IMG_0612.jpeg
