What sleeping meds do you guys recommend?

To be specific, I have no problems at all when I’m at my house, in my bed, falling or staying asleep. BUT Everytime I spend the night at my girlfriends house for some reason I cannot fall asleep no matter what I do and I cannot stay asleep, ever. So far no over the counter stuff has worked. A friend had a script of Ambien and gave me a couple and so far that is the only thing that has been able to knock me out. That’s why I’m here though, checking for other options, even if they are prescription.

The melatonin supps with L-theanine, and some magnesium are pretty good. Not being stimulated with screens an hour before bed time is the trick, but hard to stick to

I second all of this. On the melatonin, do not take the more than 1 or 2 mg. They are sometimes sold in 5mg pills but all you really need is 1-2. More is not better, it can result in a “hangover” when you wake up the next day and still feel very groggy. Also, no caffeine in the afternoon/evening will help obviously.

I take melatonin, L-theanine, and Rhodiola. It helps significantly. I recently started forcing myself to wake up between 5:30-6:30 am and that has helped a lot.

Benzos and most sleep prescription meds are more like being under anesthesia than actually sleeping. Relying on them to get sleep can take years off of your life.

I have heard that melatonin’s max effective does is under a gram, and you can definitely get a hangover if you take too much. I try to never take more than 1-2mg. I usually get the 5mg tabs and split them into 4s. It is hard to find low dose melatonin for some reason.

Alcohol can help, and I would assume its better than sleeping medication but will affect your REM sleep. THC has been shown to also reduce the time you spend in REM sleep. Although, my mentality is if you cant sleep at all then it is better to get less REM sleep than to not sleep or to use a prescription sleep aid.

Chamomile tea and 1mg of melatonin will knock you the fuck out, trust me.

Sounds like theres dark energy at your gf’s bro. I actually used to sleep better at my gf house than at my own. The satan lives there bro.

And 100% with the other guy…anything indica will do the trick far better and more consistent and with less sides than any other sleep med. Considering you get sleep at your house you really don’t have clinical sleep issues. I wouldn’t try any meds for fear of becoming dependant, if even for a little while.

Dude don’t take anything if it’s only happening there. It’s your subconscious waking you up because it doesn’t want you to be in an incapacitated state around her. Our subconcious is smarter than we are, it must have picked up on facial & verbal queues or body language coming from her. Listen to that intuition and don’t sleep there. Better yet dump her and get a new girl.

Or don’t, I’m not your fucking boss, bro.

Seriously? No one else uses weed? One dab of some terp heavy indica have you sleeping like a baby. Also, good CBD products make the difference between me waking up or staying asleep when I roll over at night and I’m in the middle of a heavy squat/deadlift block (lower back going off).

Melatonin and everything else I tried made me feel too hungover the next day. Small controlled doses of edibles and dabs are my go to

I know strongfat answered you but i will also chime in. I cook up large batches of pure coca with stevia and raw peanut butter. I use medicated coconut oil that i make that has 70-30 cbd to thc thats both 90% indica. Eat a bite of that and im out like a rock in 1-2 hours. The best part is it seems to regulate my sleep even days after taking a dose. It takes near a week or more before my trensomnia or just my normal insomnia will kick in again. Really underated shit and most dont bother with the cbd part. Vital imo.
Couldn’t agree more with you! Not just for the sleep either, I consider CBD just as critical to my recovery in meet prepping blocks as my chiropractor and soft tissue guy. Cannot do without.

I know people have already mentioned it but to optimize sleep you should turning off phones and TVs a while before bed. You should cut down on all light in your room. White noise like a fan or white noise app. Pick up a book for 30 minutes before bed and that will help wind you down. I cut out caffeine completely about 5 months ago, because of anxiety, sleep seems to be a little better. I don’t use it anymore but valerian root used to help me sleep better years ago.

Never tried CBD, but id love a way to kill the trensomnia. I can fall asleep just fine, but wake up 6-7 times a night. Any affordable places you can think of to get a sample?

Or anyone have recs for stuff that KEEPS you asleep?

Ive run cycles of 750mg of dnp, 75mg a day ECY, 600mg tren, and 100mcg T3 all concurrently and i could do it. Middle of winter true, MK677 though was the only drug I had to discontinue due to sides. The lethargy was CRIPPLING
