Cutting on cruise

I’ve read somewhere that you don’t want to cut immediately after a cycle, logic being that the longer you keep the weight on your frame the more likely you are to hold it during a cut. Anecdotally, anyone have experience with this since I’m not as well versed in what happens post cycle going into the cruise. If you do cut, do you go with aggressive or moderate deficit?

I would wait a few weeks just for the fact that your gonna downsize naturally anyways. Wait until your weight stabilizes and then do a cut at a reasonable pace.

Tracking this thread, as I had the same question.

During those weeks before the cut, should we stay at a surplus of calories or switch to maintenance? Thanks OP for asking and Caffeine for replying.

During those weeks I'd be finding out what your maintenance cals are and eat there. Your weight is gonna be a bit up in the air and you'll be chasing that number for a minute lol

I think it’s overstated personally.

I don’t think there would be any adverse effects (saying this anecdotally) going right to cutting on cruise so long as it’s a moderate calorie restriction, like 500 calories. You may in fact continue to build strength and a small amount of muscle going into a slight restriction but of course this will go away of course as calorie intake goes down.
