I’m wanting to take a break from prepping for a while I’m tired of spending my sundays cooking all day but I don’t want to stop eating the way I am currently I’m wondering if any of you guys know of any meal prep services that are decent and affordable and preferably not crazy sodium packed like alot of frozen foods I appreciate any feedback

I make a lot of stuff using a slow cooker, have you tried that for meal prepping? I make a Tikka Masala with Greek non-fat yogurt to add more protein without sacrificing on flavor.
No I haven’t used a slow cooker for anything I prep for the week just 5 days 4 large meals a day plus little things in between meals I do a lot of baking grilling and stove cooking maybe I should venture into the slow cooker or maybe an instapot

Yeah I’ve noticed they are crazy expensive just like everything else these days
Crock Pots and rice cookers are cheap. You can easily cook a weeks worth of protein and carbs in both. Not sure where you are in the world but chicken breast can usually be found for under $4 a pound. Rice is pennies on the dollar. It's not glamorous but it's calories.

100% dude, it takes me like 20 to 30 minutes to prep the food, and then I just throw it into a slow cooker when I go to bed. By the time I wake up, the food is done cooking. You could easily do that like 2 or 3 days a week and have most of your meals covered.

And the food is pretty delicious. I'm going to push the Tikka Masala again, just because it's mostly just fat and protein, and you could easily dial back the fat with the type of yogurt or fluid you add to be the base for the sauce.

I also use it to make a pulled pork every now and then that is also incredibly flexible on macros.

When you compare it to grilling or cooking on a stove top, the effort is incredibly low IMO, and you can step away while it's cooking and not worry about it. Something cooking in your slow cooker for an extra hour or two because you forgot about it is not going to ruin your food.

You got a recipe you want to share for the Tikka Masala?

Rice cooker & an Instapot. I love my slow cooker, but if your trying to do it all in a couple hours for the week the Instapot will give you the same results in a 10th of the time

Swap the yogurt out for non-fat greek, add like two extra tablespoons of salt, and tablespoon of smoke paprika, and you are golden.

All of the meal preps I've tried end up tasting bland after a while (checked out MegaFit, Fresh n Lean)
I was able to sauce it up garlic/onion powder and some seasoned pepper, but it gets pretty annoying having to lug spices around if you're eating at school/work.

Currently I just alternate my own meal prep with chipotle.
I've been hounding chicken and steak bowls for the last decade and they still hit just as good.

Costco pulled chicken packages, cooked sirloin, and Bibigo rice. Won’t have to prep a thing and you’ll have yourself covered since the food comes cooked already when you buy it at the store.

I'm big on the hard boiled eggs for prep. Also I'm a line cook so I'm lucky and can bring 10lbs of chicken with me to work, make rice, steaks, whatever and bring home a shit load of food for the week
