I've had that exact thing happen. Was a Saturday and PO was closed by the time it went to "available for pickup". Went back out for delivery on Monday and delivered no issue.
I order a LOT of stuff and have have had plenty of updates that go to "available for pickup", in particular with my PO...
Answered in the first post of the thread. Ships within 24 hours of confirmation and does not send tracking (he even mentions informed delivery to take care of that).

As others have mentioned elsewhere, sign up for Informed Delivery and you'll get your tracking number whether the source sends it to you or not. But please note that once you sign up it can take a couple days before anything starts showing up.
