After sending my BTC from my blockchain wallet to the source you email the source with payment amount and shipping info. Was I supposed to subtract the fee from total sent and reply to the source with that amount? Or do they know it will differ slightly? My blockchain wallet states one amount sent, but when I verify it on blockchain.com the total sent is minus the fee.

You have to add the fee to the total you owe. I always send a bit extra so I don’t short them like a retard

It’s very simple, mid you are paying $200, input $200 into the payment amount field. Your total send will be $200 plus whatever minimal fee, so you will be sending $200.08 (random fee example), and the $.08 will go to miners, the $200 will go to your source. There’s no need to send anymore than that. At most your source will receive $199.99, I’ve had that happen, big deal. Just put the $ amount you owe them and send man, no need for any extra.

The only reason I ask is because I imagine they have a lot going on. If my blockchain wallet says I sent .0xxxx and I tell them that in the email, but they really receive .0yyyy then how would they know my order was paid. Thanks for responding guys. I tend to over complicate things.

It’s no worries dude we all over complicate things at some point, in the future, it’s in your best interest to skip the “I sent 0.0xxxx BTC” and instead, directly link them to the blockchain transaction, “Funds Sent, here is the transaction for my payment—”

On the blockchain wallet, it is in blue at the bottom, it is the only clickable option there!

I can tell you this, 90% of all orders are off by $2-5.

Guarantee that all the sources do not care about that.
We deal with crypto so much, and it goes up and down enough that it washes in the end.

So the long and short, naa we don’t care about fees man. We’re just happy you’re ordering with us haha
