I almost never use one. I’ve rarely found that I feel more secure/braced/solid with one. I suppose if I wore one more often I’d probably find a better match/fit. Right now, the only time I’d even consider wearing a belt would be a one rep max on my deadlift or squat.If you do, when/why do you use it? I’ve never used one and am curious if it really helps or not?
All kinds!It helps a lot. It serves as a nice brace for deads and squats. Plus there is the mental aspect: with a belt on, it serves as a lifting cue to remind me to take a deep breath and brace before each rep. I also feel secure in it. You can definitely attack a little more weight too.
Finally, it prevents all kind of back snap action.
