I am a fat fuck that started at 222 lbs, No Gym, Lazy. I am 20 days into, CLEAN DIET (Baked Chicken, Veggies, Clean Carbs 1500-1750 Calories/day; <120grams Protein), currently weighing 210.

I do take 20 mg Adderall XR / Day - But I gained 60Lbs+ when I got on the script initially, so it hasn't been a weightloss helper for me.

The last two days I have had no appetite, like genuinely ate 500 calories in total. Still went to the gym and biked 5 miles, still active, I do not feel bad, but I'm curious -

Is this from mild Ketogenesis?

A side effect of Lypolisis?

Or what the fuck is it.

You don’t go into ketosis if you’re eating carbs.

Roll with this as long as you can, amigo. People go to pretty great lengths to obtain that effect.

No appetite. OK. 500 calories...not OK. If you could eat enough support your basal metabolism, that would be ideal. Just make sure it's all nutrition dense foods and your macros are balanced.

Someone who is obese but in otherwise good health can fast for a surprisingly long time with no adverse affect. Strict fasting, where you only drink water, or fasting-mimicking diets where you take in minimal nutrition like vegetables for micronutrients, are used as clinical therapies for a handful of conditions. Because of that, there’s pretty good data on the safety.

Bodyfat will supply enough energy provided one doesn’t do very intense work for a prolonged period, like running sprints for an hour or some of the crazier CrossFit workouts. That can use blood glucose faster than the liver can supply it, which can cause a hypoglycemic crisis.

He’s going to get hungry soon, but depending on how much fat he has, he could sustain 500 calories on the time line of weeks to a couple months if he’s getting micronutrients in what he consumes.
