First cycle at 38

Hello

I am thinking of doing my first cycle, i am 38 6’ and weigh approximately 205 pounds with about 13% bf. I have done a ton of research on a first cycle and i think 500Mg of Test E only is what i would like to do. I am thinking of running it for 12-16 weeks and clomid and nolva for PCT.

Some of the things i have read and have found different schools of thought about are what AI should i use while on cycle i have seen some recommended Arimidex and other Aromasin which is the better choice for my situation and why and at what dosage?

Also in my research i have found differing schools of thought on clomid and nolva for PCT as some people dont suggest clomid at all and others say it is absolutely needed same thing as far as HCG while on cycle it seems there is a lot of conflicting data out there and i just want to be as cautious as possible with this.

Other research also suggests that at my age a cycle may be a bad idea as my T levels will never come back to normal levels is this something that is just a bad idea in general based off my stats?

Thanks!

What are your natty t levels? If they are already low would you be able to commit to TRT or BnC?

HCG on cycle will help your balls stay the same size and help your loads and will make it easier to come off cycle if you do actually PCT.

My suggestion - have pre-cycle blood work done. At your age [not saying you’re old by any means] the likelihood of you already having Low T is increased. This won’t change your cycle but will change how you should look at PCT or if PCT is even something worth considering.
To me the bloodwork is less a suggestion and more a requirement. You can’t know what a return to normal is if you don’t know what your normal levels are.

Equally as important, it’s hard to answer your questions without knowing what your goals are here.

Hey guys

Thanks for the responses thus far, just returning back from vacation visiting family.

That was another question I had regarding bloodwork. I see most guys get pre/on-cycle/post-cycle bloodwork.

How are you doing this, if I go to my doc and ask him for bloodwork 3 times during a 12 week cycle he is not going to do it, so how are you getting around this and also exactly what type of blood test needs to be done?

Thanks!

I would recommend not going through your doc. Just follow the bloodwork part of the faq here: https://www.steroidology.com/forum/.../675497-ology-frequently-asked-questions.html

Just to paraphrase - you only have one chance to get your levels while natty. After you pin even once, you can never be certain what your levels were before.

Also, at 13%bf, you will see crazy gains on 500 test e. Best of luck with whatever you decide.

I started trt at age 48 prescribed by a doc after lab tests. I had not cycled in over 15 years prior to going on trt. Had moderate level test levels 600 if i remember correctly. I was prescribed 160mg weekly. I have done about 4 blasts since. Long story short., I would go to doc, get a baseline and try to get a trt going through the doctor. Positives you get labs twice a year. Cheap test for cruise and AI if you got recent insurance. Just cruise and blast. I have been doing this for 4 years and at 53 years old, I feel better than I did at 35.

Wait…what? You had levels of 600 and you were prescribed 1600mg! 1600mg of what?! Does this dr also believe in tren replacement therapy too. I hope that’s a typo or you being facetious.

Dude, this. Lol! Feel free to share your docs info and I will fly or do whatever needs to be done to get an appointment. Honestly getting on TRT with 600 levels natty seems almost unheard of as it is. Let alone being prescribed a gram and a half haha!

Shopped around for a endro. doctor. I had a dozen or so co-workers that had seen him. He is very pro trt. He said although I had normal test levels my free test ( whatever that is) was on the lower side. I am not very versed on the whole scientific end of things, I just know what has worked for me. I do not post much because I only talk about personal experience, not what i have read or heard. No offence intended to anyone.

160mg is more like it Haha no offense to be had, just usually dont see people blast 1600mg let alone trt lol glad it’s working for you though! Replacement therapy is honestly the best thing I’ve ever done and believe every man should get test levels checked and adjusted if needed.
