Improving source privacy and security

Hello y’all,

I’ve been thinking about how sources can improve their security and stop sending packages to wrong addresses.

What if a source receives an email from a new buyer, they send a letter to the address they receive from the buyer and Inside that letter is a 10 digit confirmation code. The buyer then emails the source with the code.

I do agree this increases TA, but who cares. The longer a source can stay hidden from the LE, the better for us right?

I logged in just to say this…

If you send the source the wrong address you’re a fucking moron.
You need to be black listed, and banned. You risk EVERYONE’S safety by not knowing what a fucking 5 year old knows.

Sources copy and paste the addresses provided by the customer.

There is about a 0% chance that’ll happen LMAO dude

I know I’m an ass, but FUCK!

Come at me with a ‘stfu you’re a no help dick sucker’ reply.

Lol that was a bit extra man but I agree with you. I check my shit about 20 times before sending it and have my girlfriend confirm lol

I am lost for words. It’s not fucking hard to double check your address before you hit send. If you can’t type your correct address, how the fuck do you expect to inject yourself with gear properly?

What sources ever send to wrong address? That’s a customer error, and a stupid fucking one at that lmao.

Quadruple check address (just like most sources tell you too in the email they send with BTC address)

Anyways, OP, it’s cool that you’re tryna think of ways to prevent product loss, just be more careful when sending shipping info if it’s ever been an issue with ya!

You’d be fucking surprised - this is the entire reason that our webstore processes addresses the way it does. People fuck their shit up more than you can imagine.
shit happens. The last order I made to a vendor i had the right address but forgot to include my name haha! He was cool Though! People can get nervous or excited when ordering… So i agree with @“SouthernCompounding”

They do not all copy and paste the address… A source who recently left us one sent a package to an address but switched around 2 numbers in the address and didn’t let me know until it was already on its way to the return address… So although you are mostly right, there is more than a zero percent chance

I agree, which is why if there was a way for the source to verify the clients address before hand, the source wouldn’t end up sending a package to the wrong address and it getting returned to a unknown address… which is I think what happened to Texas?

If they are using stamps.com to print labels, the addresses are confirmed first against the USPS address system. So packages should only go to a VALID address. It is up to the customer to verify THEIR address as best they can so that it gets shipped to the right house/apt/office etc. And they need to put their actual NAME on the package. My USPS guy knows who lives at my address. If they got something for “John Smith”, they wouldnt even attempt delivery, just return it as a wrong address.

Absolutely not using stamps.com

Crypto paid apps only.

Tails > tor > VPN > BTC postage.

These sites do attempt to correct the addresses, however I do not allow it to. Newer roads, and very suburban addresses are not always the same. I assume the resident knows his own address.

That being said, IT IS ON THE CUSTOMER TO OCTUPLE CHECK THEIR ADDRESSES. I don’t know your address, I don’t know that it’s an apt, a townhouse, a condo etc. I copy and paste what you put to protect myself. I’ve had people claim that I did it wrong, and I can reference my label to their email to squash any discrepancies.

If you send me a bad address, and the pack gets returned because of your negligence you WILL be black listed. I will NOT reship.
I am not going down because of your failure to correctly type your own address.

I now it seems like a sore spot for sources, and that’s because it is.

If you forget to put your name or omit it for personal preference, that’s fine. I have a workaround that is successful 100% of the time. NON ISSUE there.

Honestly if he left Himself open to where they were able to trace it back to the source then he was just very careless. I can assure you thats not what happened. Most sources use shippers and receivers. using multiple guys, multiple drop spots and a hell of a lot of computer security. It would be very difficult to get caught that way. Although I have heard it happening that way like scorpion DNP. It just amazes me guys would actually make drops themselves at the same drop boxes, Like he did. It was easy for them to catch him . They placed an order then checked tracking, got him to admit through email that it was not used as a pesticide and it was infact used for weight loss. Then watched him when he made a drop at the post office. He didnt even have a VPN. They were able to get his address through his IP address. This is sheer stupidity

Just gonna drop in here and say MOST people are pretty good about checking their addresses. I can’t get my head around anyone not triple checking their damn address, no matter how many times you’ve typed/written it out.

On to one issue I cannot stress enough. USE YOUR REAL FUCKING NAME. First and Last. No initials, no “current resident” - your actual fucking name, or at least an authentic name that is associated with the shipping address.

Just because you may have had luck using a completely fake name/alias, doesn’t mean shit.

“Addressee Unknown” > “return to sender”.
This is an actual thing. Yes, it does happen.

If your info is not 100% correct, whether it be the address or name associated, and it’s returned to sender, You’re out of luck.
Blacklisted. Done. and LOL if you ask for a reship.

You are completely wrong, USPS does have most names at the specified address but they still dont use it. Thats the reason we all have gotten packages to our house, but its some random name… I have no clue where you get that notion that USPS won’t send a package without a valid name.
