Just scheduled dexa scans for my son and I

I'm an old guy who started TRT back in June 2023. I've been lifting since November 2022. Just about to wrap up a 16 week blast.

I'm 46 and kinda soft but have had significant muscle growth in this short amount of time.

My son is 20 and is going to be a damn monster. He gets compliments from huge guys in the gym.

We're both getting scans on Saturday, I can't wait to see the results and have a benchmark to work from.

Out of pocket. I just feel lucky enough that there's a place almost local where we can get it done. It's kinda spendy, $350 for 4 scans. If you only get 1 scan it's like $125 so buying a 4 pack is much better. Plus who wants just 1 scan?

Different parts of your body. Or you get 1 scan and then can go back 3 more times ?

It's your whole body. They charge per scan but it gets discounted if you pay for more sessions. This of course is just one business and their policies, your local place may differ.

Whatever a guy wants to do. The business I'm going to has body composition contests where people compete for lean mass gain and fat loss. I'm not doing that, but I definitely want to see where I'm at so in the future I know I've either done well or done poorly.

I've put on some fat over these last few months of gains, I'm planning on dieting starting next month. It'll be interesting to see how much fat I can lose and how much it affects my lean mass.

If you're in the states, there are companies I've seen that will do dexa scans for around $40/month. You can get 1 done every month or if you just want a one time, it's around $60.

I'm in the states but kind of in the middle of nowhere. You guys are lucky who have access to $60 dexa scans. I have to drive 80 miles to get a scan and overpay. It would be hundreds of miles if not for this place.
