Are orals any worse on your liver than other prescription drugs? Most people are on mental health drugs, blood pressure drugs, cholestoral drugs etc. I never hear anybody say the doc told them they need liver support or that taking meds is tough on the liver.

Oral steroids are methylated compounds which are hepatoxic, or toxic to the liver. I’m not sure about the prescribed meds you are referring to, but I don’t think they are methylated.

You’re comparing apples to grapefruit bud. There are some medication that is hepatoxic, tylenol comes to mind, but taking low prescribed doses wont kill you. Same with methylated orals, when used with respect and moderation they arent super harmful with the exception of one or 2.

Lots of prescribed medications are harsh on the liver. Accutane for example is really rough on the liver, and doctors will test your liver regularly when you are on accutane. They will adjust your dosage and prescribe liver support for liver issues.

We don’t have the luxury of having access to a huge range of liver support drugs, so we often go with the bare minimum OTC supplements to get the job done. There are also a ton of people who use AAS who don’t know or care about long term health.

Superdrol, mtren, and cheque drops come to mind. Anadrol to a lesser extent than those.
