Beaker is heated to a temp of approx 250 degrees to ensure proper sanitation. Once beakers are placed on Lab Scale, each applicable ingredient is precisely measured. Ingredients (raw, BB, BA, etc) are combined and the beaker is then placed on the hot plate/stirrer. Product in beaker is heated until it is 75% melted then the magnetic stirrer is used to ensure mixture is ready to be filtered.
Product is taken off hot plate/stirrer and placed in the filtration station. Here the product is pumped from the beaker using the Pulsafeeder pump. It’s filtered through a Whatman Polycap AS 36 Capsule filter and into the labeled Pyrex media storage bottle. The bottle is then capped/sealed and ready for bottling.
Once in bottling station the Microlit Scitus Bottle Top Dispenser is attached to the pyrex media storage bottle and bottles are filled to the appropriate level. Stoppers are put in place and then caps are crimped in place. Labeled.
*There are two pumps used. Test has it’s own pump/filter and Tren has it’s own pump/filter.
**Filters are changed as recommended from the manufacturer (approx. every 5 runs).
