I can only speak in regards to my wife but she does not produce enough progesterone so she was prescribed it by her gyno. Ultimately we and her gyno also suspect her progesterone deficiency is what lead to us having a miscarriage in 2016. If a pregnant woman isn’t making enough progesterone then it can be difficult for an embryo to implant. It also is very difficult for the embryo to stay implanted until the placenta forms and progesterone is no longer an issue. Her doc said the “normal” range for progesterone goes down into mid single digits on the test but “it’s too damn low” and he’ll “be damned if he ever lets one of his patients test lower then mid teens ever again.” More information then you requested but if even a single guy on here reads this and sees the results say his wife is at like an 8 on Progesterone then it’ll be worth it if he raises holy hell to prevent something negative from happening. As it turns out her doc is kinda/sorta a big deal in the gyno/fertility field at least in the local upper northwest/greater Mayo area.

My girl has the same issue. Caused her to miscarry real early on in the pregnancy.
