Basically early 20s and getting receding hairline on my beautiful hair. I think only one in my family with MPB is my grandpa on my dads side.
Grandpa on moms side had a receding hairline but never went full on bald. (like widows peak, which I wouldnt mind)

The fact that I have been on TRT since late teens might be a cause of the accelerated misfortune. Anyhow, would rather prevent it from spreading if possible.

I talked to my doctor about finestride. He said, it defeats the purpose of testosterone therapy if you are on it si ce it actually blocks it. Does this mean I’ll badically not be teceiving any free test?

Comments from anyone, especially that’s on blast + finestride would be appreciated .

If that gene is in your family, especially on both sides, then it’s extremely likely to be in you to some degree and the fact that you’re already seeing it is even more proof. If you’re like most people that have it and decide to use testosterone, you’re probably going to be spending countless hours online researching it. There’s lots of info on here if you search “hair loss” or “finasteride” or “ketoconazole” in the search function.
I think the most effective, reocurring things you are probably going to be seeing are finasteride or dutasteride, ketoconazole (Nizoral) shampoo, minoxidil, RU58841…
Or if you live in LA, hair plugs and transplants, lol.

Here’s a good thread for example:

About finasteride, I don’t think he was right saying it blocks it. Someone correct me if I’m wrong here but what it does block is testosterones conversion to DHT, which is a more potent androgen but also happens to be the main culprit in hair loss. I’ve heard of it helping a lot of men keep more hair while on TRT or higher doses but when it comes to other steroids it becomes less effective to even counter-productive. Also, finasteride can have some pretty severe side effects for some men (not all) including depression, loss of libido, impotence, etc. Mostly, “man stuff”, lol. One of the reasons is because the enzyme that it blocks (5aR) is not just responsible for testosterone conversion to DHT but several other metabolic pathways.

Yeah, I would start researching on here first and not so much on google or before you know it you might be rubbing snake oil and rhino horn gel all over your newly implanted hair plugs.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong here but what it does block is testosterones conversion to DHT, which is a more potent androgen but also happens to be the main culprit in hair loss. That’s why some of the most potent steroids are in fact analogues of DHT. Also, I’ve seen research showing finasteride increased total testosterone because less of it is converted to DHT. I’ve heard of it helping a lot of men keep more hair while on TRT or higher doses but when it comes to other steroids it becomes less effective to even counter-productive. Ultimately with the gene, if you have it, it’s going to be a constant battle if you’re on any AAS. That is until they come out with the perfect drug. Also, finasteride can have some pretty severe side effects for some men (not all) including depression, loss of libido, impotence, etc. Mostly, “man stuff”, lol. Interdasting… Side effects dont seem bad. I’m already acting depressed majority of time plus I do need impotence…Too horny. Not letting me focus on goals.

Yeah I sort of decided to not use tren, mast, or any other high DHT steroid. I’m going to run a cycle now high test, high EQ and turinabol and was hoping to take something to mitigate that.

My big question that I can’t find anywhere though is, Since finasteride converts more testosterone into DHT, how does that affect gains? Would I be receiving less free testosterone to use, and would all I need to do is just up AI dosage?

Check out RU58841 online and see if you’re interested in it. I haven’t read up on it in a few years (stopped being anal about my hair loss), but it seemed really promising.

I haven’t personally used it either, but plan to when my hair gets shitty.

Did you think the the ride was free my guy? You were just gonna get all the juicy gains and thats it? The reaper always gets his dues muahahahah. Jk man I would talk to a dermatologist, are you taking creatine? There was a study that showed it raises dht by 60% you can discontiune that and it may help a bit but honestly a slightly receding hairline isnt a big deal
