In honor of, what I consider, the face of strength and powerlifting I would love to hear everyone’s Louie stories. The man made an impression on everyone. I’ll start.
I first met him at the 1st Westside Pro/Am in York, PA in 2016 (I think), when Hoff totaled 3005. At the end of the meet I walked up to him to shake his hand and get a picture. Before saying anything Louie grabbed my hand and then pulled me in and grabbed my elbow. He squeezed it and then looks at me and says “You’ll never bench more than 455 with those joints.”
There will NEVER be another Louie.
