Test Cycle Effects On Lipids

Hello all, long time lurker, first time poster. I’m gathering information for if I ever choose to hop on cycle (which would be a very, very long time from now) just so I can become more educated and safe.

One of my main concerns with steroids is their effect on lipids. I have a genetic predisposition to shitty heart health, so this is a strong concern for me. There are others, like blood pressure, but those are more easily solved, in my opinion.

My question is, how strongly does a basic 500mg a week, 12 week test cycle effect lipids? I would be incorporating cardio after working out, probably 30 or so minutes of moderate to high intensity running or stationary biking. In addition, I am working on my diet now, incorporating much more legumes, vegetables, and an overall healthier, less meat centric diet, as I am under the impression that it could help, or at least not hurt.

I know that there will be negative effects, obviously, but to what degree I do not know. If anyone could speak to the effect of a test cycle on lipids, I would appreciate it if you would comment.

Depends on your genetics and diet. Test only shouldnt put it in danger levels. I’m on 200 test, 400 tren, 300 mast for the past 1 1/2 months and my lipids are slightly out of wack, nothing to bat an eye at.

If you’re worried eat 2 tomatoes a day, 600mg coq10(split dose), 1 salmon meal, supplement fish oil, and eat kiwis. All very heart healthy foods, you’ll be fine. 45-60 mins cardio EoD helps alot too.

It’s genetic, some guys have low HDL to begin with or are sensitive to androgen’s effect on lower HDL.

You should not be concerned if you are cycling. It takes years and years for poor lipids to cause damage. Just like elevated BP takes years to hurt your kidneys, eyes and heart.

If you are going to be running tren year round like some of the people around here, then you have something to worry about.

Testosterone only is not super suppressive to HDL, but even low doses of trenbolone and winstrol will destroy HDL fast.

It takes about 6-8 weeks to recover HDL levels after lowering dose or discontinuing a compound.

I appreciate the healthy diet advice, because that’s what I honestly should be focusing on rather than steroids. Unfortunately nutrition is slighlty less fun to learn about than steroids haha.

It’s good to know it isn’t terribly harmful to lipids. I will very likely stick to testosterone generally, maybe try out deca later down the road too. I’m not going to be competing, just want to maybe do a few cycles and look good and muscular, then maintain that naturally if possible. Not trying to get HUGE, just bigger.

How would the addition of Dbol add to the lipid factor? I think a low dose of 25mg a day would be what I would use, to keep hepatotoxicity and extra aromatization as in check as possible.
