Tore my left distal biceps tendon Friday morning at work. Already came back from tearing the right one previously a few years ago. Pretty fucking bummed. My training has not been anywhere close to “on point” since my baby was born several months ago. Maintaining my own rendition of a jacked dad bod. Wife left and between initially not eating as much as well as not cooking dinner for her ungrateful ass every night after I got off work (and some drinking to numb up towards the end) I also lost 15ish Lbs. Feels good. Miss my baby dearly, but don’t miss her one bit.
Anyways, as far as recovery goes when I go on short term disability how beneficial would something like HGH be for me post surgery? How much would I need to see recovery assistance? Having been through this once I know what I’m looking at. Pure fucking fire in my arm as I stress that tendon at first against either button/screw fixation or its suture anchors. But would buying 80-100 iu of GH and running 2iu morning and 2iu evening for the first 3-4 weeks post operation accelerate the healing process?
I was very cautious with my last one. I don’t plan to be reckless in pushing it but I do plan on trying to push myself more then I did last time in working range of motion. It took me until 8 weeks to fully extend my arm last time but I really want to be able to return to work at 6 weeks for light duty.
Thanks guys. Thoughts are definitely appreciated.
