Just curious how much did it cost you to get this done? I am trying to find a good place to do it in Canada however its pretty expensive compared to the states.
It's a local place with only 2 offices just for this. It's $77 per test unless you buy a test package then it's a bit cheaper per test.

New DEXA scan boys and girls. Happy with this. Wish the lean mass had also increased but I’ll take this too.

Coach requires pharma
Then my next question is, assuming you’ve used both. Have you noticed a difference?

I just noticed chase irons and many before have said there’s a big difference but then I see pros like big Paul tell me in the comments when I asked if he was using either he said generic considering pharma just is expensive.

I’d like to get into using it it’s just 1 obviously expensive and 2 you absolutely need your shit dialed I feel

Looking at the "Total Mass" column, was this number input manually after weighing yourself, or is this number generated by the Dexa scan?

Looking at my first report now. Under the "Body Composition Results" section it lists my fat mass, lean mass +BMC), and total mass. Funny thing is, "total mass" is not correct. It's about 9 lbs lighter than my actual weight 30 seconds before the scan.

Hey man. Sorry. Didn’t catch your question. But no I don’t see a difference. But coach will pull me off if it’s not pharma. And we don’t want that.

Generated by the DEXA. We don’t weigh me beforehand. But my weights from the DEXA square with my scale at home. Maybe they need to calibrate their scale or DEXA machine

Newest of the new. Had a little blip there when my BG went a little wack. Insulin resistance from gh had me fucked up. Got that under control now and for these last three months.

For those that don’t know, I started prep about 4-5 weeks ago. Currently 14 weeks out. But DEXA shows an increase in lean mass, 14lbs since April 2023 and 5lbs in the last three months. Even at my worst 16% bf these numbers aren’t horrible for an off-season, and put me in a great place to finish my prep.

I’m keeping an updated prep log in the discord if you’d like to join. The link to be interviewed is in the Announcements section!

That's awesome man. Nice work.

In January I had my first and only dexa scan. I was 232 lbs and 21.7% bf. Too fat. I was nearing the end of my first ever blast, and unknowingly just about to experience an injury. Diet was not great but I've learned a lot since then. I'm fairly new to the gym and gear. I've since then cut over 20lbs and have pretty much maintained or increased my lifts. I'm going back in on May 18 for another scan and looking forward to it!

Last night I got home from the gym, took off my shirt and thought "holy shit, I'm really doing something here".

Do Deca scans show where you have the most/least muscle vs fat?
Yes. The body is broken up into multiple zones and you get data based on those zones, as well as a total. There's also a graphical representation, like a heat map, but I find the actual data to be more useful.
