This is a scam. I've received many if these texts even when I had not ordered ANYTHING online (illegal or otherwise). I'm not sure how but somehow the scammers knew my real address and name.

If a postal inspector wanted to talk to you. They would come knock on your door, not give you advanced warning to potentially destroy evidence.

I put in an order with GL on 11/5. I understand that he has taken some time off and won't be back until 11/16. Just curious if any of you all have ran into this issue before. Earlier today I received a txt that read, "(My Name). Postal Inspector here. We intercepted your parcel addressed to the hotel. Call to discuss. Thank You." If you’re wondering why It was shipped to a hotel, I travel for work and have never had an issue receiving orders. In fact, I just received an order from Viper on 11/13. Now logically I ask myself, how in the hell does a postal inspector have my number? I have been placing orders for years, and have received letters requesting me to come to post office for pick up multiple times back in the day when I ordered through Alinshop. But never a txt message. Any of you all ran into this before? Is it a scam? This is what I presume/hope. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks for your time guys.
No postal inspector will be texting you and saying

“Call to Discuss”

Scam

I appreciate the feedback. This is what I assumed. It just threw me off a little bit considering they knew my address was to a hotel, and the number they text from was the correct area code for my location. But like you said, they knew your real address and name.

That’s how scams are suppose to work.

It wouldn’t work if they said hi John Appleseed we intercepted your package in Antartica please call us, would it ?

Most scam calls from near your area code for that exact reason

My address is unlisted and I have a very uncommon name. No social media either but still somehow these scammers get ahold of my info. I bet if you call the number that text you, first by pressing *67 it'll immediately hang up after 1 ring or go to a Google voice number. That's indicative of a scam. Sometimes they'll even spoof usps number via text (that happened to my friend who doesn't even do anything illegal) If only these scammer put this much effort into a respectable 9-5 job they'd probably excel in life.

No need to worry. You'll get your GL pack

You need to email GL now and request he check the tracking. I'd do that quickly, it's been long enough to warrant that request. You should have had it well by now. I'm actually thinking something is definitely up. Let us know what GL says.

I emailed GL as soon as I received that message. He is currently closed until tomorrow, so I haven't heard back from him yet. I will keep you guys posted once I hear back and/or receive package.
