Hello SST’rs… so I’ve been dealing with a lot if shit for a long time. Addicted to opiates… then used kratom to get me off opiates… then used alcohol to get me off kratom… anyone know any good items that are sold here that can help with withdrawal? Well being?

Hey brother so what are you withdrawing from now? If it’s alcohol than that requires some hospitalization. Alcohol and benzodiazepines are the two things you can literally die from if not properly tapered off so definitely look into that.

Alcohol withdrawal is no joke. I’d recommend a medical detox if you can.

YOU CAN DO IT BROTHER!

I’ve been in the same battle for 5 years now.

Set some short term goals, and aim to achieve those…you won’t have any time to get fucked up then!

that being said, Benzo and all withdrawal are the most dangerous, however, light doses of Benzos (even etizolam. - thienodiazepine) will definitely help with alcohol withdrawals.

Best of luck to you brother, we are all rooting for you!

This 100% true. If it’s alcohol and you get the shakes if you don’t drink you will need to find a detox center. Usually shouldn’t last more than 3 days but also could be longwr depending on how bad your situation is.

After that if you really want to get clean I would suggest 12 step meetings and actually talking to someone at those meetings who has a good amount of sobriety and talk to them after the meeting. They’ll tell you what to do.

Was alcohol… did 12 step… doing AA… back to kratom now cause it helped with those other things. And those things were wayyyyyy worse. Nothing was worse than alcohol. I nearly died for a couple weeks there. I appreciate the help though !

I’m still riding the Kratom train two years later, no slip ups and my dose has progressively gotten lower as I grow in confidence. Honestly, for alcohol, your best bet is a medical detox. Even if you could try to taper down with pharma benzos they still pose their own risk. I literally had a seizure coming off benzos, fell so hard I broke and dislocated BOTH of my shoulders!! Stay strong man and GL

Try AA. Work the steps with a sponsor. Do it as if your life is on the line, because it is. Sobriety is amazing. Coming up on 7 years in August. If your alcohol dependence is severe you need a medical detox. Stop trying to find the drug that will get you off drugs. In detox they will give you a benzodiazepine to make sure you dont have seizures. Trying to find the easier softer way hasn’t worked for you, try doing something different, like putting in some work and working the steps. If you do it to the best of your ability, you will be amazed before you are half way through.

I don’t want to hijack the thread but do people still consider themselves “sober” with AAS use?

Hell yes… absolutely different… AAS is separate from any other drug or alcohol

Fucking absolutely I consider myself sober while on gear. I’ve spent many years battling addiction to alcohol, benzos, opiates, coke…you name it, I had an issue with it at some point. In MY opinion, if one stays clear of all “mind altering” substances (and yes I know some will argue that gear can be mind altering) including alcohol and narcotics then in my opinion they’re sober. @“HardcoreHenry” I think you’re on the right track but keep in mind any gear that increases anxiety will make these withdrawals harder so maybe cruise while you’re creating your foundation.

I just wanted to hear a consensus because I too still consider myself “clean” even after hopping on AAS. However, I’d be willing to bet money that if you ask most people in the program they’d consider blasting a “relapse”. Honestly cruising has been great for me to build a foundation on @“HardcoreHenry” keep us updated and
GL! It gets easier

Are you still drinking? At least see a primary care Dr, they could prescribe some meds to help detox you and then keep you on something like beta blockers or antabuse, but if you’re having real DTs (seizures, delirium tremens) go to an er or something asap, you’ve dealt with this already and know how bad it can be… Best of luck! Keep at it, prayers for you bro…

I already had to detox fir alcohol. No longer drinking. It was pretty bad. At this point I’m over multiple addictions but still take kratom to help with mood, anxiety, body pain. I just dont want to take anything at all so I was hoping someone sold something here that I could take for about a month until my mind passed being used to it

Honestly man you’re through the worst I’d just stick to the kratom, up your dose if you need to. Messing around with anything you can get from online pharmacies like etizolam will just make things worse and give you more hoops to jump through

I 100% agree with you @“TrenAnonymous” - getting on benzodiazepines or any other kind of shit of the sort will just create a brand new, and most likely worse addiction. Benzo withdrawals are horrible. My old running partner when I was doing dope was addicted to benzos and heroin, seeing him seize up was scary shit. I don’t fuck with benzos at all anymore due to that

I’ve been sober for almost six years. I don’t consider gear to be breaking sobriety. I have a close friend who works in the recovery industry who does, but he’s working from the misunderstanding about gear propagated by media etc etc. I suppose a case could be made that it’s shortcut, thrill-seeking “addict” behaviour to use it, and the reasons one uses are to cope with the issues that made one turn to booze or whatev in the first place, but whatever. I’m not a twelve stepper (not that there’s anything wrong with that), just somebody who lives a better life without the wreckage that comes with binge drinking and cocaine use.

Thanks for all the feedback, I’ll just stuck with slowly dropping kratom dosage for now and when off. Nothing I have ever been through was worse than my time with alcohol. I thought I was dying and wanted too… I cant even put in words how miserable it was. Kratom isn’t bad really anyways, helped me with the other things. I was just thinking about getting off everything but I’ll just ween off. But IMHO if someone says gear is a relapse then they have never used or been addicted to anything else. There’s no comparison. Thanks!
