Short version: AIPCT SHOP website is misleading and can not process any other crypto-currency besides BTC - even tho it states that customers can “Pay with Cryptocoin. Choose from Bitcoin, Ethereum, Lite Coin, Dash and more. If you want to pay manually or have troubles, please select 'Alternate Payment and click ‘Order Now.’” Coins lost in Litecoin payments are gone forevers.
5/16/2018 - created an invoice on aipctshop website. I chose the cryptocoin payment option and was provided a wallet address in which I sent Litecoins via coinbase. The invoice on the website “timed out,” supposedly, bc the transaction was never confirmed. Customers have 20 minutes to send their crypto-currency and have it confirmed. Coinbase confirmed it in 5 minutes. The transaction was confirmed 354 times on the block chain and I was able to view the Litecoin transaction - which I have saved.
I emailed aipctshop and they claim they never received payment. After back and forth emails (they do respond promptly albeit in different time zones and in broken engrish) they ask me to contact coingate who acts as a merchant service provider for aipctshop.
Coingate informs me that the litecoins were in fact transferred…but to a BTC address and since it is a BTC address the litecoins can not be extracted…ever. They then told me that I needed to have selected a litecoin address. Here is where it gets SKETCHY: customers can not select litecoin or any other cryptocurrency address. They are provided with a BTC wallet address and it is not optionable. After I screenshot the process and document the FACT that only one address is provided to the customer (and it is not clearly designated as a BTC only address) they tell me that the error was with the merchant (aipct shop) and they should have integrated “API v2” - which I have no idea what it is, sounds totally legit tho - onto their website.
I have asked for store credit, at least partial credit, on my order and aipctshop has, so far, deferred consideration until the “controller” can look at it.
I have ordered a total of 6 times in two years from sources on SST - going back to the previous forums and never been burned. This will be my first time and luckily it was not for very much money - $87.
At this time, I can not, in all fairness conclude that this is a deliberate scam, especially since they are a verified source, in alia manu - the fact remains that coin was paid, but no goods received. Dilly. Dilly.
I am sitting on a 6 month supply of wondrous blends of exotic juices - in all the butthurt flavors of wonkagear, but have no pct in case Mr.Salacious Sad Nipples shows up on Thursday after a 2pm late lunch burrito with Tammy from accounting bitching about open invoices. It’s fistrating.
