I hear different things about this. Like hemo levels jump back up pretty quick after donating or that levels regulate themselves.

Ive donated twice but pre exam is a pain. Did a double 4 months ago and due to go again next week.

What are your opinions? Thanks

It’s a nice thing to do. And there are a few studies out there that say routinely donating can be helpful in lower cholesterol, not sure how accurate that is. No reason not to donate my friend and it’ll lower your HCT for a little while at least

@zyzzsickkvnt What are they strict about? They take my BP and prick my finger to check hgb and hct. The rest are a bunch of yes/no questions on if you’ve ever fucked dudes or traveled to any weird third world shitpiles. Pretty easy where I’m at

I get nervous for pre exam and pulse is high at times they give me trouble for that … Like 7 pts high they sent me home. And if hct is high whys it a problem? Draining blood helps that right

Can you explain how you do this? I would like to do it myself too. I’ve read instructions before but they much less than simple. If you have an easy method of doing it, please share.

There is really no reason to be needing blood donation while bodybuilding. It’s almost always the following and very rarely genetic/health related.
  1. Poor drug choice (remove bold, lower test)
  2. Not doing cardio or enough cardio
  3. Individual has sleep apnea that’s not treated
  4. Poor diet choice
In the meantime, you could consider adding in IP6. I don’t know what your hemoglobin or hematocrit are at. The latter being the concerning marker.

In terms of does it help? Potentially. It can also just be used as a bandaid and doesn’t solve anything. In some cases it can make the problem worse. Some people require blood letting as frequent as bi-weekly.

@Jake11 hey sorry, just seeing your reply to me. My fiancé is an RN, so she just gets the supplies she needs and does it. You can order a blood draw bag online and it comes with the butterfly needle and everything. But, starting an IV is much much different than just slamming a needle in your muscle

@DILDINATORvBoii Ok now I’m curious…What do you do with the blood afterwards?

I don’t want to risk my blood being used to save a dyel or fat person’s life so I never donate.

@DILDINATORvBoii I’m not afraid of the process. I have no problems sticking a vein. I don’t even care about a bag. i’ll drain it into an empty water bottle. I don’t know what else you need though. What are the other supplies you need?

@DILDINATORvBoii I would really like to know how to do this as well. I’ve tried and I can never get the flow I need to make it happen. What guage needle, what equipment, what to drain into, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated

@david59601 you need a 16 gauge needle if possible. You can let the bag hang to gravity and it shouldn’t take long. Would highly recommend you have someone with you during the process

I’ve never donated. Hematocrit, hemoglobin, and RBC is always within range whether I’m cruising or blasting.
