Hey dudes,

this may seem silly, but I want to remind everybody to TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES!!

obviously, I load my body with all sorts of compounds, but I got a little wreckless, and performed a sloppy quad injection. (didn’t seem sloppy, contaminant of some sort might have got into my puncture/pin)

I’m in day 2 of ER at my local hospital because of infection deep in my leg (was NOT because of vendor, I had been on that same vial for a few weeks)

Pin went in smooth as butter, like usual, on Saturday, and around Monday or Tuesday it started to become painful.

long story short, it was different than regular PIP ( I’ve experienced some PIP lol),
and I still gave it a couple of days before getting in here.

Anyways,

Much love and gains to all you guys, and I hope your weekends are going better than mine (cutting open leg in morning :’( )

I’m against quad injections. All it took was one bad experience for me. I broke out into a cold sweat and I felt very weak for about 20 minutes. Very intense “flu like” symptoms. I will never inject legs again. Ass, last, and shoulders only for me.

Best of luck with your recovery.

Good luck Scuba. Jacked and Fat really love to suck on each others nuts don’t they. I have you guys on ignore anyways I wish you’d do the same. You guys go on and on about me to the point it’s immature as hell. I could have went to the ER as well for mine but I saw a video on youtube where they sliced into a guys leg and there was simply nothing there. His leg looked exactly like mine… just huge and swollen. Although mine was also red in certain spots.
My buddy had an instant bad reaction to some bunk gear he bought and just got on really strong full spectrum anti-biotics (Vancomycin).

Scuba didn’t go into detail about how he knows it got infected either, more of which I’d like to hear about actually. My leg just got huge and full of water but aside from that… I’m not sure how he knew it was infected vs what happened to me or my other friend. You think I didn’t want to go to the hospital? Of course I did… I just didn’t. I’d have given anything for those Lidocain shots to numb my leg.
The only difference between my experience was that I didn’t feel sick, no flu-like symptoms or fever. As far as pain… yes… terrible… not even close to your infamous “pippy” word you love so much. I know PIP and I’m sure Scuba knows the difference as well.

Anyways… Scuba go into a bit more detail if you can and what made you think it was actually infected. My buddy knew within 30 minutes he was screwed.

FUCK!! Get well soon brother, that really blows.

I have just recently fallen in love with quad injections. They are so good but the risk stories outweigh all other injection sites.

Godspeed the recovery goes well.

Hey dudes,

The shot was smooth as buttermilk pancakes. zero pain upon injection, or even the typical 24-48hr window. It was Monday night (Saturday morning inj) that the pain literally came out of nowhere. Like, I obviously knew the culprit, but to happen so long after the injecion had me worried.

being a dude, I feel like we’re all a lil innate to the NOT hopping on the “seek medical professionals!” train (we’re “big tough guys” - always sunny), so I gave it till Thursday morning.

My symptoms were literally ONLY quad pain. no fever, no flu-like symptoms, nothing (besides seasonal allergy bullshit)… the injection site wasn’t even red or really that inflamed. it just hurt like hell.

If I had that pain Saturday, or Sunday, I wouldn’t have even thought of going in.

they’re saying it’s “not compartment syndrome” (which is a VERY good thing for me, apparently), but they didn’t even “find” an infection right away!!

I was transparent and fully honest about exactly what the situation was, and they still haven’t given me an exact diagnosis.

going under the knife in the morning, I’ll let y’all know how it goes.

Hope everybody is well, and PIP free!

Good luck Steve! You’re always so nice and pleasant to everyone, you’re a good dude.

Keep us posted on how you’re doing post surgery, wishing you the best bro.

Good luck brother… I have about a 6 inch long scar that’s about 3/4 thick on my right quad from an infection about 3 years ago. I had a wound vac on my leg for about 2 months post surgery but I even hit the gym with that fucker attached to my quad. In all, the biggest effect it had on me to this day is the anxiety it gives me before every pin due to my fear of having to endure that again. Unfortunately, risking infection is just part of the deal given this lifestyle but I certainly wouldn’t have it any other way

And also… the pippy harassment is fuckin hilarious

Hey all,

surgery went well!

they removed a big ass abscess, and I should be heading home tomorrow.

Needless to say,

I’m probably never hitting quads again lol, gimme long esters and ass shots for life!

Thanks for the moral support from my regular doods! this forum wouldn’t be as awesome without you guys!

been thinking (and worrying!) about your post over night. Is there anything we can learn from this to avoid the same mistake? Was this only because of the specific site (quad)? Was the needle dirty or hit the floor, or there seemed some insinuation your protocol wasn’t 100% sterile, did you wipe the tops of the vials and the skin before injection?

I’m running Tren A cycle right now with ED dosing and every morning I’m scared!!!

glad you are ok

as someone who has had some fucking DIRTY injections and seen people pin literally unfiltered acetate esters for years with no issue I think at this point it’s more personal immune response.

I’ve pinned gear that gave me no issues but a friend took the same gear and got a decent infection.

regardless, hope you’re feeling better soon, injection pain is a fucking bitch.

This is a good point man. It answers the question why some people all of the sudden seem pronounced to pain compared to how they used to be absolutely fine. My buddy took the same thing as me and he was fine but my leg blew up like a balloon. Looks like maybe a few bad pins can screw up your immune system or something and you need to take some immune boosting supplements.

good point Swole!

I do have seasonal allergies, which probably lower my immune system/“infection threshold” as it is.

Scared me shitless regardless!

And @“unclecurley” , my bruthaaa! I really don’t recall anything being off about that specific injection!

I wiped vial tops, skin (different wipe), needle never touched anything out of the normal. The injection itself caused no immediate issues, and went in smooth as silk!

The only thing that is neat about this, is getting bloods every 8 hours! “hey doc, what are my T levels at now?” lmao

@“unclecurley” again, just be careful and make sure you’re hitting the right spot is all I can advise. once you go through an experience like this, it really makes you think about priorities lol

Is there anything about quad injections that creates a greater risk of infection, as opposed to something like a sub q leak? I’ve injected quads for years. TRT doc said it was fine to do so. I’ve occasionally gone through a vein but no other issues. This thread is making me re-think injecting quads, however.

Glad everything went well Scuba.

Since you’re not pinning quads any more I suggest a relatively new location, taint or forearms.

I’ve been pinning quads since I started as well since I can’t really reach my glutes without moving the pin. Really curious as to why it seems to cause more frequent injections. Quads are the easiest place for me to pin by far.
