Sorry for a second post in as many days, but I made up a BTC guide for our purposes, and thought I’d share with you guys.

SpartaPharmaUSA’S BTC PURCHASING GUIDE:

Step #1)

Choose a Bitcoin purchasing app. Here are a few of the more popular ones right now:

https://www.coinbase.com/ - This has been one of the most popular and easy to use BTC purchasing apps for a few years now.

https://www.coinmama.com/ - Coinmama is pretty similar process as coinbase, and really easy to use as well

https://cash.app/bitcoin - Is a phone app that a lot of people have been using lately. Buying and sending BTC on the go!

LocalBitcoins - https://localbitcoins.com/ - This is a site that connects you with BTC buyers and sellers.
It’s in person, so you’d be meeting someone most of the time.

BTC ATMs - These are everywhere now. https://coinatmradar.com/ – Find Bitcoin ATM, Online Rates You can see the closest one to you.
These charge anywhere from 5-10% fees though, so watch that.

Step #2)

Once you research and choose the app you want to use, you link your CC, Debit card, or bank account to it.
This is 100% perfectly legal and won’t raise a single red flag. Millions of crypto investors do this daily, and you are off any radar.

After you link your info, they have to approve your account. This takes 2-3 days normally.
This is standard practice, and sources know this, and no need to apologize for this delay.

Step #3)

Once you are approved, you are free to buy as much BTC(or other crypto if you choose) as you’d like.

Get an amount from your vendor, and use a app like preev.com or coin desk to see the conversion rate.
All the apps you buy from should have them as well.

Purchase the BTC and it should clear in 12-24 hours(the time there is depending on your bank).

Step #4)

I would say this is optional, but I HIGHLY reccomend this for security reasons.
Download a cold storage wallet - https://www.investopedia.com/terms/c/cold-storage.asp -
Electrum, Wasabi, ETC are a few good ones.

Step #5)

Send the BTC to the vendor from your 3rd party wallet.
Try not to send from a wallet linked to your personal info if at all possible.
Your vendor will make everything safe from their end, but it is always good to add another layer of security on yourself!
Your vendor will send you a brand new BTC address, and send it to you. Always copy and paste this to send BTC.

Step #6)

You can track and see your transactions, and if the vendor has received them.
https://blockexplorer.com/ is one such website that you can track transactions on.

Step #7)

Get stuff, get HUGEEE!!!

Now there are other apps that charge less fees, but are more advanced. Kraken, Gemini, Etc.

Feel free to add in your input or experiences with buying BTC, and crypto!

In regards to #5, people on Reddit in the past have reported having their Coinbase accounts closed for sending directly to a source.

Yeah I’ve seen that before. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend sending BTC to a third party before sending to anyone. Ever.

Just to add to the part about localbitcoins.com-

They have many methods of purchasing BTC including Zelle transfer, western union, credit card… plus many more. I’ve used it for about 9 months and never have had to ever meet someone in person, that may be an option but would be a total inconvenience unless you’re getting an amazing deal. Before using local bitcoins I had TONS of issues with Coinbase and they ended up cancelling my account for some petty bullshit about the receiving address having a flag for illegitimate business or something so if you’ve had similar experience, check it out.

@“SpartaPharmaUSA” Not trying to be a prick, just wanted to expand a bit about localbitcoins as the site has been a huge save for me.

Download cash app. Start the process to become verified so you are able to withdraw Bitcoin. Also create a blockchain account. Once you are verified on cash app you can purchase Bitcoin for no fees then instantly withdraw it to your blockchain wallet. Then from there you can send to where you like. Do not send strait from cash app to a source, go the extra step and send it to blockchain first. When you end up sending from blockchain to a source it costs you like .05 cents in transaction fees, so pretty much free. When you buy from cash app though sometimes you lose a dollar or two due to fluctuating Bitcoin fees, it is not a fee they charge you. Way better than coinbase… I used to use them until I found this, will never go back

So I posted this question in the Dumb section. But maybe you guys can answer it here…So I’m trying to learn more about this Bitcoin stuff. Cause I want to start investing… But I’m trying to understand more about it. When I go to that preev site…it shows the current value at $3579. But then when I go to buy Bitcoin thru the cash app. It says the standard…you confirm to buy…however much I’m buying at this rate…and it’s $3625. Even looking on Google the rate is the $3579…so why would the cash app have such a difference? They are a no fee service.

Even the BlockChain app is showing the lower amount as well… Does the CashApp just have lagging rates?

Won’t matter much unless your buying 1 BTC, even then you can take it to an exchange that has a higher/lower rate per BTC. This is called arbitrage, and is a common way to trade crypto. Anyways, the difference in pricing is such a negligible fee… $1-$5 dollars when buying a couple hundred $$ worth of BTC shouldn’t matter to anyone.

I believe the global average would be the rate most go buy, in this case blockchain is slightly lower.

For those asking about wallet/where to buy, my guide is pinned at the top of general u autists, Sparta tried to help also but damn, the answer to almost all BTC related questions exists in this forum, just gotta look!

Haha same here man. I was using BTC to buy gear. I actually have an account that had about 1 BTC left over it in. And I’ve tried everything to get into that account. I have no idea which email or password I linked to it. It was with localbitcoins and I used safemail back then. Kicking myself.
Wish I knew I would have bought 5k worth of Bitcoin back then and let it ride… I’m hoping there’s a turn around and it spikes again. I really think it will with all that’s going on. I think it will become more accepted. Almost daily I see an article of more companies taking bitcoins. Even Vape online stores… So I’m probably gonna dump 5k into it. Which I can afford to lose and see what happens.
