Hi,

I just started TRT with a clinic and I am not looking forward to the $350 every 10 weeks. For those of you that do DIY TRT that have also tried TRT with a clinic, what are the pros and cons of DIY TRT?

Pros: Cheaper, able to do your own pinning routines, not limited to just what the doc scripts you
Cons: Risk getting found out by doctor and having shit go into record which may make future legal TRT routes harder.

I was thinking that. However, I do plan on coming off at some point. My overall goal is to just get to a size that I really enjoy and just solidify the muscle tissue accrued and to then come off. I’d like to stay on for life but I do see myself slowing down at some point if I end up starting a family.

Not possible to build muscle on gear then 'solidfy the muscle tissue accrued to come off'. This is a pipe dream and idk where you and others get that concept from but it doesn't work that way. The only muscle you can build and hold onto is what you make naturally, or if you build it on gear you have to remain on gear to keep it. Gear gains are all borrowed and we give them back when we come off, some faster than others. There's no medically recognized reason to stop TRT once begun so if you can manage it financially just stay on forever. If a doc scripted it then you obviously had low numbers to begin with, so it's only gonna help you. It is also 100000% possible to make a baby on gear without coming off.

Noted.

Perhaps I should stay on.

Thanks

Clinic TRT is a racket. I can't imagine a more low skill medical field to work in and take in the kind of money they demand.

Honestly UGL TRT, while risky to some people because they don't know what labs(PSA) to run and how to handle high hemoglobin/hematocrit, sometimes a person jumps in and figures it all out themselves and works through problems as they come up.

At a certain point testosterone is gonna have to be made legal for 21 and older over the counter as long as you can prove you have run your PSA and hgb/hct each time before you pick up a vial. That would solve the main issues of keeping people out of harms way.

In my humble opinion TRT is a scam. I remember my friends being all 'ill only do gear if it's supervised by a doctor". Yeah bro you're a pro athlete or something. They just want the money and send you for labs on occasion which you could just do yourself

Personally I started with a Low T Center to just get my dosing and labs all in order. After a few months and finding the right protocol for myself and multiple labs to prove it I went DIY. It sucked paying the $200/month, but for me it was worth the oversight and the labs every 3 weeks the first couple of months.

The clinic I go through charges $99 a month which for me is worth it knowing I’m getting Pharma grade test and keeping my possession of test legal which is important to me because of my job. Plus it makes flying with test less stressful since you have a prescription you could show if you’re ever asked about it (however TSA has never asked since they only care about public safety aka making sure no one is flying with guns, knifes or bombs). DM if want the name of my clinic.

Been doing it myself for 3 years. Easy to just do your own labs learn all the bio markers and even cheaper when you start home brewing. Really comes down to you
