Do airline pilots get tested for steroids

Sortof a pipe dream for me to go to some kind of pilot school. I have no intention of giving up the testosterone cruise though. Anyone know if they test for steroids? I would think not just given how expensive it would be for an airline to test that many people.

im going to guess no, they probably only test for things that would impair you flying, but im sure theres actual pilots out there who know. if youre mainly worried about being able to cruise find a doctor and get a prescription and youre probably good. ive wanted to get my pilots license too its so cool

Doubt they’d test for steroids. But I know they test you for alcohol and drugs before flying and shit like that.

Ps- I’ve never seen a jacked pilot in my life lol

Steroid blood tests are more expensive than drug tests, so a lot of jobs won't test. That said, pilots probably have to pass general health bloodwork, which may be affected by or can include steroids. I would bet each country you would fly in has its own requirements for pilot fitness.
