Thanks for the reply. I’m only capping for personal use so I’m gonna try not using fillers. Already got myself a microgram scale for prime day sales lolNo particular reason to “need” a filler. There was a thread similar to this a while back, and iirc the reason sources use filler is to distribute the product evenly because they are doing super high volume capping.
Also in that thread, I think soco recommended a cheap milligram scale on Amazon that’s like $30.
I plan to measure out one capsule at a time. Put Raws on scale. Zero out. Then remove 20mg to put in each capsule. Would that still require filler?you need filler…otherwise you’re gonna end up with one capsule having 100mg and the other having 20mg
Got it boss. Will use a filler then. Any that you’d recommend that would help create a more homogenous mixture? Just scared it doesn’t mix well. No, you’ll be fine if you do that. it will just save you A LOT of time to use filler, mix it all with the appropriate amount of active ingredient and then use a capper.
Honestly, I know it sounds daunting but long run it saves you so much more time and its more or less accurate
Look up geometric dilution and watch the process on youtube, it’s super simple. You can use creatine, whey, almost anything.Swole Guacamole" pid='61594' dateline='1563572641:

Thanks SoCo for such detailed breakdown. Just placed my Raws order with you just now. And thanks to the swoleguacman. You guys rock.Depending on capsule size, baking soda works well as a filler but could make you a little gassy if you’re doing size 00 capsules. If you’re going with size 4, it’s a non issue.
Pick up a cheap pestle and mortar, bigger is better IMO.

Mixing The Powder
Things you’ll need:
[0] Weigh one empty capsule - You will subtract this from the total weight in step 1 and 2 to find the total weight of just the active ingredient or the filler.
- Milligram scale
- Small scoop
- Mortar & pestle
- Paper and pencil, maybe a calculator
[1] Fill one capsule with your active ingredient. Weigh on your milligram scale and record the weight.
[2] Fill one capsule with your filler. Weigh on your milligram scale and record the weight.
[3] Find your ratio of active ingredient to filler using the following formula -
----- (Desired Active Ingredient Dose x Total Filler Weight) / Total Active Weight -----
This formula will tell you how much space your active ingredient takes up out of a full capsule of your filler. This example will use Aromasin and Creatine. ----(THESE ARE EXAMPLE CAPACITIES, WEIGH YOUR OWN)---- One ‘Size 1’ capsule holds 300mg of Aromasin or 340mg of Creatine. To find out how much Creatine to take out to account for 12.5mg of Aromasin you follow the formula. (12.5 x 340)/300 = 14.166. 12.5mg of Aromasin occupies the same amount of space as 14.166mg of Creatine. You will be filling one capsule with 12.5mg asin, 325.8mg creatine. Multiply to meet your capsule requirements. So for 100 caps you would need 1.25g Aromasin and 32.58g of Creatine.
[4] Place your active ingredient in the mortar and pestle - 1.25g of Aromasin. (This is where we use geometric dilution to achieve a thorough blend.)
[5] Weigh out 1.25g of Creatine, place in the mortar, and mix.
[6] Weigh out 2.5g of Creatine, place in the mortar, and mix.
[7] Weigh out 5g of Creatine, place in the mortar, and mix.
[8] Repeat until desired quantity of powder is achieved.
[9] Begin capping process with your newly mixed powder.
Hope that helps out - feel free to inquire with questions if you have them!
