Do you guys recommend taking HCG?

I’ve been on TRT through my doctor for a while now and I have always ran HCG even during my blast. I’m considering dropping the TRT through the Dr and just doing it myself to save some money. I’m not sure if I’m going to continue to run HCG though. Would you guys recommend it? If so, is there a source on the board that you guys have tried and liked? I’ve been looking into expressPCT but I’m open to suggestions. Thanks!

I wouldn’t waste my time.

If I ever get into a situation where I absolutely have to come off, I keep hCG and SERMs on hand for PCT, otherwise don’t see the point, it’s just one more thing to hassle about.

HCG is only needed if
  1. You care about fertility.
  2. Testicle size.
  3. eventually coming off and maximizing the chances of natural testosterone recovery.

This is why I don’t take HCG:
  1. I’ve already had a vasectomy
  2. I’m old enough I’d rather have small testicles than them hanging down to my knees.
  3. I’m on TRT for life.

Yeah, there some people who anecdotally claim they “feel better or higher libido” and that HCG increases downstream hormones like pregnelone, etc.

There is no research supporting this and just as many anecdotes of people feeling worse when they add hcg (water retention/high e2 symptoms).

There is also research that LH receptors may have a role in alzheimer’s. HCG activates these receptors, they are not only found in the testes but also in the brain and other places.

Only time I’d say not to is if it gives you an adverse reaction/sides but otherwise I can’t see why not. Cheap easy and brings potential benefits.

I quit taking it years ago and would never add it back into my regimen as I didn’t see any benefits.

I use hcg because I believe that having testicular atrophy for extended periods of time is not a good thing. I use 500iu 2x a week and my nuts are pumped up quite well. Off cycle on cruise. I dont use it that often. I do have a concern about fertility to a certain degree

I get mine from a compounding pharmacy in the USA! Like yourself it comes alongside my TRT.

He’s on TRT, which means that he is indeed blasting and cruising. I highly doubt that somebody on TRT would come off entirely after a cycle knowing that their natural levels won’t return to baseline. I don’t see why that would be a determining factor though–life goals and personal preferences should be the biggest factors in his decision to continue using it it or not.

I’ve gone through long periods (6 mos +) of using Hcg and not using it, and it was better with it.

Without it, I would occasionally get that annoying aching feeling in my balls, which doesn’t happen when I’m on Hcg.

I only take 250iu’s e3.5d
