First cycle, 46 y/o. About a month left. PCT or blast and cruise?

Hey all.

I'm about a month from completing my first cycle. I've read about this for years, trying to be as prepared as I can, so that I didn't have to wonder or hesitate when I was finally doing it.

Yet here I am, wondering and hesitating.

Cycle has gone great. 500 mg Test for 20 weeks. Did 75 mg daily of T-bol for the first six weeks. Taking HCG as well.
No noticeable sides really. A bit of acne, but barely noticeable.

Most of what I've read states that the first time you should always PCT. So I have all my stuff ready for that. However, I've been reading more and more that PCT might not be that optimal. Somebody suggested at my age (46), I should just opt for blast and cruise.

My testosterone right before the start of the cycle was 681 ng/dl, which I'm assuming is kind of alright? At the very least, it read as "normal".

To be honest, I wasn't really concerned about PCT up until recently. Now I'm genuinely thinking it might not be the way to go. I know I at least want to do another cycle (lol...right?) so I'm really torn between both options. I feel I have this great momentum going, and don't want to take 10 steps back.

I never even considered HGH, but a friend who's doing PCT is taking HGH as a sort of ... "preventive measure". I really haven't found a lot of info on whether this is even a legit strategy.

If I went the BnC way, until I completed a second cycle, should I expect being committed to TRT for life? Is PCT something I really don't want to go through, or is it still recommended? I realize I'm asking a question there might not be a clear answer to; but I was wondering what people's thoughts were.

My thinking is, if you're gonna do another cycle, unless its going to be 12+ months from the end of this one, BnC may be a smarter option from a health standpoint. As someone also in my 40s, I don't think I would want to PCT ever again, even though I've done it many times in my life, because it sucks, and because you're probably not going to bounce back like if you were in your 20s.

TRT is way more optimal than natty levels, even if you give yourself the same numeric level (though why, go closer to the top of the range) due to the smooth and predictable release of the ester, vs the natural peaks which can leave you with extremely low levels later in the day even if your 6-8a reading is normal (both total and free). For me, doing 100mg shots twice a week is a no brainer, I use 1ml barrels with 30g pins and its 2 minutes out of my day to make sure I feel and preform well.

In the end, it is entirely up to you, you should know what is best for your goals and lifestyle, I would make a Pro/Con list and talk it over with your significant other then make the chose that is best for you.

Thanks for the detailed and thought out answer. We’ve been discussing it and we are leaning towards BnC, at least for one more cycle. Body has reacted great so far , with minimal sides, even with elevated Estradiol. Will keep monitoring and hopefully keep things dialed in.
