Floater in vial???

Guys i see something floating in a vial of test. Looks like a piece of fabric…not sure. Should i toss it or just make sure i don’t inject whatever it is?

Im just worried about contamination. I’ll try and post some pics once i figure out how to…

Make sure it’s not a crystallized piece, try to see if you can melt it down. Heat it up an if it dissolves you should be good. If it doesn’t I’d toss.

Use a candle warmer to heat the vial. If it’s not a crystalized hormone, then draw up the vial into a syringe with a small gauge needle like a 29g, this will take a long time and then get a new sterile vial and use a .22 micron syringe filter to filter it out into the new vial.

Well I tried to heat it up and it won’t go away. Almost certain it’s some sort of fiber now.

Filter it into a new vial. Could have been a vial that wasn’t rinsed well enough with alcohol before it was placed in the oven to finish out the sterilization.

These open vials often have dust in them so you gotta rinse them out really well.

A fiber won’t hurt. Like another guy said, wasn’t rinsed well enough and as @“SouthernCompounding” stated, those fucking rubber stoppers are a bitch. I wash them in rubbing alcohol within a strainer (a pot under it), then put a lid over the strainer as I’m dispensing. There are so many fibers in the air it’s hard to not get them in a vials.

If you were able to get a flip top cap and salvage the rubber stopper, you could de-crimp the vial, get an ear loop stick (you see them in doctors offices) and fish it out. Sterilize the ear loop first obviously. Then put the rubber stopper and flip top on, crimp (I’m sure you don’t have a crimper) with any suitable tool you have.
