I'm 36 years in and in good health, and have been lifting for 14 years without any serious injuries. In the last year, I have started pulling muscles on the dumbest exercises, or having severe back issues (sharp pain and back muscles locking up) just from bending over to pick something small up. Went to my Doctor and got multiple blood panels done, everything looked great. I'm on 4IU/day HGH and take 200mg test E per week. As I'm fairly fit and active, I can't help but wonder if it's a defficieny in something? I eat about 80% carnivore and already take a bunch of supplements for my health, just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and found a solution?

Drinking enough fluids, electrolytes?

What did the doctor say or did he just guess something?

Doctor was of no help at all, didn't even take a stab at it. She said she would refer me to a sports doctor if I wanted to and that was it. I'm literally moving 2 states over in the next month so I'm putting that on pause.

As far as fluids I'm pretty deliberate about water intake, but I will say my job can get crazy and I've gone an 8 hour shift without so much as taking a sip of water. I do take a daily liquid mineral/vitamin/electrolyte supplement though.

Zero stress in my personal life and very minimal stress here and there at work. I take Ashwaghanda as well as Reishi mushroom, and use CBD on occasion to help get deeper sleep. Get good sleep every night for the most part.

I’m not a huge advocate of mobility stuff but getting hurt and pulling muscles on dumb things kinda makes me wonder if you need to be active in those ranges.

I do stuff like that on my rest days. Broga stuff. Just actively going through ranges top to bottom - neck to ankles to prevent injuries.

Seems to help.

I appreciate your thoughts. If in being honest I have completely avoided any attempt at mobility training, so that's prolly a good place to start.

It might be your collagen brother. As we get older it decreases, and I believe testosterone in particular has some inhibitory action on collagen. A small dose of nandrolone might help you a ton in this regard.

Best of luck and happy holidays!

Definitely hadn't looked in to collegen, I appreciate you bringing that up! I will certainly start looking In to that as well as the nandralone.

Thanks, Happy Hollidays to you as well!

Nandralone doesn’t do anything for collagen that I’m aware of it will increase synovial fluid in the joints to help lubricate them. Anavar is actually know to increase collagen. That said a healthier option would be a good callogen supplement. You can take that year round with zero negative issues unlike var or deca. You could also add tb500 and bpc157 with taking the callogen they are great together for injury recovery.

Thanks for the information and advice! I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to explain all that. Funny enough I was planning a mild Test and Anavar cycle for these winter months and postponed it due to these dang injuries. I'm gonna get the collegen and try those peptides as well and see where it gets me.

You're doing carnivore, or carnivore style of dieting, are you eating carbs?

If you aren't your cortisol is probably sky high. That could be a culprit.

I eat a moderate amount of carbs. I probably shouldn't be saying I eat carnivore lol because I don't actually eat 100% meat 100% of the time. I eat carbs around my workout times, so it's more of maybe Daily carb cycling. I had a full blood panel done recently and cortisole came back normal.

When I started getting back into shape, I was tweaking something in my back often. Once I started supplementing magnesium and potassium, things got a lot better. It may be something worth looking into. It’s hard to get an idea of your true levels from a blood test. Our bodies are very smart……it’s gonna keep enough in the bloodstream for the most important and critical functions. Even if it means robbing it from another part of the body. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge fan of “test don’t guess”…….but on certain things in the body, a serum test just isn’t going to show the whole picture.

I appreciate the information and your thoughts! Interestingly enough I just started reading that my BP med can actually deplete me of the two minerals you mentioned, so I'm going to take a deeper look in to that now. But I completely agree about bloowork, I've actually been fairly frustrated over the years at the time bloodwork didn't answer all my health questions, so yeah I'm with you on that.
