Hi all, TLDR is at the bottom. I would truly appreciate any feedback I could get.
I had gyno surgery on Nov. 19th. I woke up from the surgery with a hematoma on my right side, so I was immediately operated on again. I had to keep my right drain inside of me for 3 weeks instead of 1 week like my left side. My right nipple was also slightly puffy immediately after surgery, but I think that’s most likely due to the hematoma and swelling.
During week 6, I started to develop a large and hard lump of scar tissue underneath my left nipple, around the time I took my compression vest off. The lump is thickest at the top half of the nipple, protruding out almost as far as before surgery. I made a follow-up with my doc and he said this was just contracting scar tissue, and should eventually dissipate.
On the other hand, my right nipple is perfect. Some swelling in the center, and a hard ridge around the incision line. But other than that, I could not have asked for a better job on my right nipple.
The first is before surgery. I almost always flick my nips before taking shirtless photos so it was hard to find one with puffy nipples. Both my nipple protruded the same amount before surgery. The second pic is the day after surgery. I went to the ER cause my right chest hurt like a bitch even on large amounts of pain meds (I was being a pussy in hindsight). The third picture was taken on January 1st, 2 days after I started to notice the scar tissue. In the last week, it has grown another 25% or so.

TLDR;
I have read an overabundance of articles online about people’s scar tissue after gyno, but they rarely post an update on the outcome. Feel free to pick and choose from the questions below. The more info for the community the better.

- Did you develop scar tissue?
- If so, what week did it develop?
- Did the scar tissue eventually go away on its own?
- If it went away on its own, did you massage and/or use home remedies?
- If it did not go away on its own, did you have Kenalog shots or revision surgery?
