29 year old male taking 600 mg test cyp a week/ 500 mg eq, anavar kickstart. no AI yet. 20 week cycle so taking hcg up until pct. I bought a home BP monitor and was shocked my bp went up because last time i checked not long ago i was hovering around 120/75. Any ideas on why this is happenning or how to lower it? Starting more cardio, will be mnitoring. Gonna add in aromison twice a week at 12.5 mg. I train Muay thai 3 times a week and do cardio. Ive stopped drinking caffeine of which i have a lot and a strong pre workout i gave up. on my pre workout and mid lift my np was 150/77 and that scared me. ANY ADVICE IS APPRECIATED! Should i stop? having great results 2 weeks into my cut and dont want too but will lol.

Most of all don't panic yet. You just might need to get some meds from the doctor. Your diastolic isn't bad so I wouldn't worry too much yet, but the systolic is getting pretty high. Normally cardio is your best weapon but it sounds like you already have pretty good cardio if you practice Muay Thai. Second would be an AI in case it's water retention doing it. But go easy on the ai, introduce it systematically because crashing estrogen is worse. Next would be just get blood pressure meds from the doc, preferably an ARB

What time of the day are you measuring BP? Most accurate BP readings are usually before bedtime when you are calm/relaxed. Not after eating, working out, etc. Another thing to consider is where your arm is positioned as it should be aligned with your chest/heart. I always take two readings before bed cause the first tends to be higher and I would be more calm on my 2nd reading.

Some ways to mitigate high BP during mid cycle is watching your sodium intake, cardio (which you're doing already), and controlling e2 accordingly.

How long have you been cycling and when was the last time you donated blood? High hematocrit/hemoglobin also plays a factor.

You can just go to the doctor and get some blood pressure meds. Not a big deal bro.

You can also buy some telmisartan on some of the vendors here. Telmisartan is likely the best choice for blood pressure control for steroid users.

Cialis at 10 mg. EOD has been a game changer for me!

1) Do you feel like you are retaining water? Your e2 might be high, which causes water retention, which increases BP. You can get your estradiol checked and in the meantime I would start the aromasin at 6.25 2x/week if you are holding a lot of water despite keeping sodium and electrolytes in check.
2) Your home BP monitor might be inaccurate, especially if you have bigger arms. My home BP readings are 10-12 mm/hg higher on systolic and 3-5 mm/hg on diastolic as compared to Dr. office readings.
3) Kicking the caffeine and preworkout will help tremendously
4) Are you taking your BP mid workout? Don't do that. Yes, it's going to be elevated, and it should be. You're just going to stress yourself and elevate it even more.

If you know you’re being healthy and not eating a bunch of fried / salty food every day, there are 2 pretty simple fixes.

1- more low intensity cardio: walking, cycling, stairmaster, etc.

2- telmisartan.

Anything under 140/90 is fine tbh. Technically it’s high bp if it’s above 120/80 but ofc it’s gonna be elevated on a blast. Just do what you can to mitigate it but if it gets higher order bp meds

Thanks brother I am holding water, and my diet had a lot of sodium. I’ve taken out all sodium and caffeine (miss my pre workout 😅) and added more cardio. Am not gonna stress about it, have doctors appointment in two weeks will reevaluate then. I think stressing about it and checking it all the time made it worse a little lol.

here's what helped me
1. Reduce sodium intake
2. 30 mins zone 2 cardio 5x a week
3. Drastically reduce caffiene intake (I was really bad about this previously)
4. Fish oil, beet root powder/QoQ10
5. Donate blood

If it's still high probably best to go get BP meds from the doctor
