I know I’ve seen it on here before, but I cannot find it now. Could someone please tell me the best protocol for severe acne?

High dose vitamin A is essentially what accutane is. However, do not take high doses of Vitamin A and hope to achieve the same effects. It could be toxic.

As for B5… pantothenic acid has been shown to reduce facial acne in some limited studies, The mechanism is not understood. It’s also not widely accepted yet. There’s also been no studies as far as I’m aware as to body acne.

If you’re trying to combat on cycle acne, your best bet is to microdose accutane.

That might have been me. You can try megadosing Vitamin B5. Like up to 10 grams a day. I don’t think I would take all 10 grams at once and probably would not start there. Probably best to split the dosage and half and take it morning and night. You will need to take a Vitamin B complex as well to make sure you’re not getting thrown off. Vitamin B-100 complex for example. You will have to find a dosage that works for you and you might get a bit dry but I would rather manage acne this way than using Accutane if at all possible.

Also make sure your other stuff is in check: hormones (especially estrogen), cholesterol, triglycerides. Diet can play a factor here. A fat ass fat mcfatterson diet is going to be a culprit for acne.
