High hematocrit (HCT) from primo e?

@smolpp69 @09370z I shouldn’t really call it a clinic but its an online medical service where you can request practically any substance that’s not a controlled substance. I’ve gotten scripts for accutane, telmisartan, and propranolol. The website is: www.pushhealth.com
For the telmisartan, I simply said that my BP has been over [insert high reading] for several months regardless of me eating better, and doing cardio, and nothing was helping to lower the BP. I wasn’t lying about my symptoms although I’m sure one could to get what they want. I requested a six month supply of 80mg and it was approved. I’m not sure if a 9 or 12 month supply would be approved but I’ve never requested that much. The only catch is that it costs about $85 just for the script request, and, whether you get the script you want will depend upon which physician you’re assigned. Sooo it’s a $85 gamble but the reward is pharma grade at no added cost if you have decent insurance.
Not sure who asked, but with my insurance I pay $10 for a month’s supply of 80mg telmisartan.

@09370z they send it to whatever pharmacy you want them too. And just to put your mind at ease, I’ve never had a request denied but if they do they’ll provide an alternative medicine.

@sbdman appreciate the info bro. They didn’t start me on telmisartan (asked why I was interested in that) but did send a script for Amlodipine over to my pharmacy. Going to pick it up in about an hour!

@santaneedasucc Was there any specific reason they did not start you on that? I’m hoping to get that and ezetimbe. Would be disappointed if I didn’t get at least the telmisartan

@09370z not particularly, he just said they (he) typically starts people on Amlodipine apparently. He only put me on a short duration to reassess in a couple of weeks but I’m actually seeing my normal doctor tomorrow so I might bring it up to him. He’s already said I’ll need to be on them, and after reading a lot of anecdotal experiences I’m not super into the idea of starting Amlodipine lol. But, it’s something. He did ask why I chose telmisartan, though…lol

@sbdman yeah after reading the possible sides I’m a little hesitant, a lot of lower extremity swelling and water retention lol but it’s something. I’m seeing my normal doc tomorrow to get a referral for a sleep study so I might bring up BP med options to him then and see if he’s into the idea of telmisartan, or at least another more commonly prescribed one. Either way, I’ve got something and it’s legit like you said, plus if I experience sides I can always get ahold of the doc through the app and have it switched!

Man telmisartan is a miracle drug as far as I’m concerned. If you haven’t yet, go read over all the benefits it has aside from controlling hypertension (PPAR pathway stuff, etc.)

@santaneedasucc maybe you’ll like it but if you’re really set on getting telmisartan then I’d just follow up in a few weeks and tell him your experiencing several of the negative side effects to see if he’ll switch you. I know that’s lying and we should follow doctors recommendations (since they’re the experts and all) but presumably most of us do not disclose our AAS use and I think most of us can agree that most docs are not well versed with AAS usage and treatment of its side effects. So us as users have to be creative in finding ways to get what we need to stay healthy. Just my take (in support of lying to them lol).

@sbdman ironically I brought it up to my doctor yesterday when I saw him to get a sleep study ordered, and he said he would rarely ever start someone on Amlodipine, and sent me off with a script for losartan. Same family as telmisartan so I’m comfortable with it, and at the end of the day, my BP is pre-hypertensive so it’s best I get on something at least. If this stuff doesn’t work out well I’m going to go back to my regular doc and request telmisartan lol.
