How do I get bitcoin faster?

I’ve been using Coinbase to purchase bitcoin for awhile. Awhile back Coinbase didn’t make you wait 20~ days before you’re able to send your bitcoin.

Now everytime I purchase bitcoin from Coinbase I have to wait 20 days before I can even send it, so I basically have to wait 20 days before I can even make an order…

Basically, Coinbase fucking sucks.

Are there any better services I could use to purchase bitcoin IMMEDIATELY and have it available for being sent IMMEDIATELY? It used to not be like this, and it sucks having to wait this long to make an order…

Suggestions?

Bitcoin ATM is the way to go, look for one in your city. Doesn’t get much easier than that.

Damn man I didn’t even know there was such a thing as that…

And there’s one 3 miles away from me… Cheers man.

Can I deposit there and then send the cash somewhere else (meaning buy on here) almost immediately?

That’s what I do, I deposit the cash into the ATM, it sends it to a wallet on whichever website is linked to the ATM, and then I send the funds to whatever source I’m buying from. It takes about 30 mins to an hour for the funds to appear in the wallet after purchase.

Cheers man. You just relieved me of a huge annoyance.

Thank you so much.

Are you verified? I use coinbase and when purchasing from my wallet purchase is instant.

Yeah I’m verified and I have two-factor-authentication, though despite that, Coinbase still makes me wait forever for my purchase to go through (and then even longer if I want to send some money).

Bitcoin ATMs are very convenient for getting BTC fast, but the markup is insane… The one near me charges 11-12%. I hate the waiting period on Coinbase, too – it’s like 30 days, even when your deposit cleared your bank in just a few business days. Keep in mind, though, that this only applies to deposits made using a linked bank account – if you have a debit card linked, the BTC is available to send to an external wallet instantly. Of course, there is a limit to the amount that you can purchase each week with a debit card, but I think my limit is something like $500/week, which is not bad. The available purchasing power seems to increase in real time – I checked and I had something like $6 left on my weekly limit, and then an hour or two later it was up to $9, for what that’s worth. Another option is LocalBitcoins, if you want to find someone near you who is willing to sell you BTC in a pinch.

I’ve been looking into Cash App… Do you have to order one of their cards before you can add cash to your account? I linked my debit card, and every time I try to add cash from the debit card, I get a message saying “The transfer has been declined by your bank.” I just have the app, though – haven’t ordered the Cash Card. I guess I’m a bit confused. I was surprised that they seemed to link my debit card instantly without doing any of the usual tiny deposits that you have to verify…

No sir, you do not need to get a cash card to buy BTC. It’s awesome dude. Zero fees, it’s instantaneous (don’t have to buy BTC but right before you place order, to ensure the value doesn’t change), and so simple to use.

I’ve never had anything declined, so I’d check with your bank.

Are you using checking acct to purchase btc? If so that takes a bit for everybody, granted usu not 20 days but def not instant either. Just use your debit card from the same checking account and that will be instant.

Scuba got it right here. I wouldn’t say there are zero fees though. For example i have uploaded $180 to my cash app and then purchased $180 worth of bitcoin. It was instant but i had $178 worth afterwards. $2 is no big deal overall but the reason i bring this up is because i was making a purchase on a website that has an automated system for bit coins where you scan the code and it sends for you instead of copy and pasting the code. Anyway the purchase was $180 but i only had to $178 worth of btc so i had to upload more $ and got hit with another minor fee. What I am trying to get as is that if you are using cash app, upload a little more cash then the purchase cost just in case

Cash App is being a pain in the ass for me. There was some issue where my debit card was incompatible with their system, so I linked my checking account directly using the routing and account number. When I go to deposit cash into the app from that linked account, it throws up a prompt asking me to link a bank account using my debit card. I literally have my checking account linked to Cash App with the full credentials and yet it still wants me to add a debit card. So, at this point, the app is completely unusable for me. This sucks, because it seems like a perfect way to get BTC with no markups or wait times. Sure hope I can get this shit squared away…

My buddy got hit with this too, any time you move BTC from point A to point B you have to pay a miner fee, so always buy a bit extra. There are other coins with smaller fees but BTC is the most popular at the moment.

Contact Cash App support they will help you. I couldn’t get verified and they took care of it. Easy sailing ever since

Hey brother had the same problem, had a 15 day hold. No one at Coinbase was getting back to me when asking multiple times to lift the hold. If you’re having the exact same issue I am it could be you’re adding funds in from your bank account itself and not a debit card. I spoke with a lady who said if you transfer Funds via your bank account it will have that hold. So I went back and deposited money straight from my debit card and sure enough it was available almost immediately. Now the money you have already added from your bank directly will still be on hold even if you try to transfer it back into your main bank account. I hope this helps.

I’ve stared to use the Cash App. I didn’t even know you could use it for BTC. The funds are in your wallet as soon as you purchase them. And no wait for sending it off. Reading the other comments makes me want to try a BTC atm tho lol. Does the BCT atm have a camera watching you?
