Human Menopausal Gonadotropin (hMG) Experiences and Sources

I’m wondering if anyone here can share their experience with hMG?

I’m thinking about taking three to four months “off” where I am only using HCG or HCG and hMG in combination. I was thinking 1000 IU HCG 3 times a week along with 75 IU hMG 3 times a week to start.

I looked through sources and it looks like @DashPCT carries it, but unless I’m mistaken, I don’t see anyone else that does.

1000 IU HCG 3x a week is too much if on TRT. 250 EOD works perfectly for its intended purpose and at 3000 IU weekly you’re gonna have crazy estrogen problems most likely

@HeftyLefty Yea ok, fellas, bottom line is I’m talking about using HCG by itself with no Test or anything else, or HCG and HMG with no test or anything else. Not sure why this is so hard to comprehend lol.

If anyone has any experiences they’d like to share concerning what I’m talking about that would be greatly appreciated. I’ve gone through and searched the forums for related threads and gathered some useful information. Just wondering if anyone has any recent or additional experiences they’d like to share and perhaps a recommended source. Thanks

so i’ve been running 1000iu 3x per week, while on trt, for the last 2 months or so. trying to get my wife pregnant, to no avail. added in hmg at 75iu/week a month ago, to see if that helped. i know the protocol i’ve seen around is 225iu/week but i don’t feel like blowing $100+ a week. i’ve been running pharmahgh generic hmg. $33 domestic.

as far as e2,i had bloods pulled a couple weeks ago and my e2 was high, around 60. 225mg test/week, along with the hcg, hmg and 50mg clomid/day, no ai. my e2 is usually around 30ish with my normal 250iu hcg 3x/week. so it’s up but nothing that isn’t manageable.

this week was week 1 of coming off test completely. my plan is to just run the hcg,hmg, clomid and nolvadex to get the wife preggo then hop back on trt.

@monkey585 awesome, thank you very much for sharing. can I ask how old you are, how long you have been blasting and cruising (or on TRT), and what compounds you have used?

I have also gathered that a common fertility protocol is 1000 IU HCG 3x a week + 75 IU hMG 3x a week. I do not know the current status of my own fertility, but a great fear I have is that I will not be able to have kids when the time comes. I know that is most probably extremely unlikely (and I have yet to read someone on these boards mention that). I gather with enough time, care, and medication, one can regain fertility enough to have a kid. Sometimes the process can take months and in some cases it can take a couple of years.

I may also look into freezing my sperm, but am told it can get costly.

@MikeAlstott thanks man! i’ll be 33 in july and i started blasting late 2019. i’ve only used test, tren and var, but only used the tren early 2020 and stopped once covid started to hit. ive been cruising the last 8 months trying to conceive.

that’s the same protocol i’ve seen around, although i’ve seen some people add 50mg clomid/day to it, which i’ve done.

i’ve got to think im somewhat fertile, because a year ago, i ran out of hcg for a month. i couldn’t climax and my balls started to hurt and shrink again. balls got back to normal size once i got more hcg. why do you want to come off completely for a few months?

@monkey585 interesting, do most protocols call for Test in the mix as well (at a low dose)? I could be wrong, but I always thought people just remove the Test altogether. If I could just use a low dose, run a fertility protocol, and be fertile that would be ideal it seems.
I was looking into a method of “cycling” where one remains “on” for 8-9 months out of the year and the other 3-4 months they drop everything besides the HCG, HMG, possible AI, etc. The idea is to get the Test levels in the upper end of the reference range, give the body a “rest,” regain ball size and some fertility, but not come completely off everything. Personally, this seems ideal for me as I have some problems running HCG even at cruise doses of Test (even with some AI). It is definitely possible I would still need to use an AI with this protocol though. I admit it seems to be a bit of an experiment and I will definitely lose size/strength, but it would seem most of that would be regained within the first two months of going back “on.”

@mikealstott I have only seen the one prominent protocol floating around, mentioned here, and test was not eliminated from the equation. I ran that fertility protocol using injectable FSH instead of HMG, but unfortunately didn’t have a semen analysis done at the end (had one before, planned on freezing the second) as my wife and I hit a pretty solid rough patch and she got back on the pill.

@mikealstott Have you looked into how much the HMG is going to cost? It’s pretty expensive.

@lbeck27 yes, money is not a concern. It’s not too bad if you run 225 IU a week for a few months. It would probably be less than $500 for a cycle like that.

@mikealstott I just dropped about $400 for a months-worth of HMG, so roughly 1200 for the whole thing (I believe Palumbos protocol recommends 3 months).

@santaneedasucc nice, hope it works well for you. I thought I saw a source on here selling 150 IU for $30. I could be wrong, but I’m also willing to bet one could get a discount if buying in bulk. Keep us posted on your protocol (I assume you are running it to get the lady pregnant?).
By the way, I thought I read Palumbo’s protocol was:
75 IU HMG EOD until pregnancy.
2000 IU HCG EOD until pregnancy.
50 mg Clomid twice a day until pregnancy.
No anabolics or HRT.
Is that what you’re doing?

@mikealstott much appreciated, and same to you as well! I believe dragon ordinance has 150IU for $50, and Dash has 150IU for $58 I believe. I stuck with PharmaHGH 75IU as I’ve ordered a ton of stuff and the T/A is like 2 days, which is phenomenal as I’m southeastern coast lol.
And that’s correct, Palumbos protocol is designed for (almost) guaranteed success. In the research I’ve done a lot of guys have modified it to be able to actually stay on TRT and have success with it. That’s my hope at least, worst case I’ll do similar to you and run the actual protocol to a T. I plan on getting another semen analysis at the 90ish day mark to see if it’s improved since my initial, and possibly freeze what’s viable just in case.

@MikeAlstott Did any protocols work for you guys in the case of getting your S/O pregnant? If so, would you mind sharing the protocol and the source whose products worked well? I'm in a similar situation. HCG seems easily findable but HMG seems tougher
