Insulin pre or post workout

I’m reading around and there are a lot of inconsistencies with insulin timing on pre or post workout.

I’m planning 4IU HGH and 10IU Humalog for my next blast.

I’ve previously used insulin post workout with the thought that insulin shuttles nutrients into cells and it is more beneficial POST workout since that is when recovery happens.

Do you guys take your insulin pre or post workout and why?

I paid $30 a vial of humalog OTC and uninsured. So roughly that per month. Which, imo, is 100% reasonable because it is incredibly underrated as a solo drug alongside AAS IME.

I have always been a fan of 1/2hr preworkout for log. It is riskier but if bulking and not worried about bodyfat just over estimate your carbs at first. I like it 1/2hr preworkout for a couple reasons. It’s only just starting to kick in during your workout which gives u a great pump that I really like. The second reason is by time workout is over it is peaking and your protien/carb shake taken immediately postworkout will be utilized better. This is assuming your workout is about an hour long. Adjust so it peaks at end of workout. Can do the same with Type R. Also make sure you take extra carbs on leg day. You will need more. And always have glucose tabs on you at all times just in case.

Some guys like postworkout better. I suggest when first starting out to use postworkout. But I do suggest trying both to see what you like better.

^ summed it up pretty perfectly. pre wo slin helps all the aminos and carbs shuttle in the muscles while training aiding in recovery and growth, gives an insane pump. It’ll also peak around the time you’re finished training just in time for your post wo shake. Only thing I do different is I like taking my gh 30 mins pre and insulin 15 minutes pre

I‘ve done this exact protocol with Humalog and HGH as well. Results were great, pumps were awesome. Just be sure to consume your intraworkout drink. I have often wondered the benefits of post workout vs preworkout. I’ve also seen users doing sub q rather than IM and wondered the differences there too.
What is everyone else doing? What would be the benefits of using IM other than the peaking time?

Not a fan of insulin anymore. But I liked it more post workout. Having to have an intra with a shitload of carbs was never good, I’d much rather train with an almost empty stomach than one full of carbs, my workouts always suffered when taking pre workout.

You are referring to HGH correct. I have heard of guys using insulin IM but it’s generally a bad idea. Assuming your talking about HGH, the biggest difference is a larger spike and shorter duration. More like a natural pulse. It will reduce systemic igf1 conversion using it IM. So better for keeping insulin sensativaty up. Especially when using higher doses. IM is also great if injected into an injured muscle to help it heal. From everything I have read on Datbtrue and the studies shown, hgh definitely has local effects. And some speculate local growth even. But I have never experimented myself to find out. I speculate you would need a good amount and frequent injections to accomplish that. To expensive for me to try. Juice does the trick just fine for me.

I can’t say with certainty that it was hgh and/or insulin but my gut definitely got bigger after I started using them while bulking. But I think a lot of it could have been from force feeding and lots of carbs. It makes sense that HGH would increase gut size since it grows organs also. But personally can’t say with certainty.

Also, the most reputable sources say it’s most beneficial post workout, and that makes it easier to prevent going hypo.

However I haven’t done it myself and I would have thought the effect and pump during the workout would before beneficial

Never gone to Walmart but at any normal pharmacy I just walked up and said word for word “can I get a vial of humalog insulin please” and then they went to the fridge while asking “prescription?” to which I replied “no, otc and could I please get an ice pack with it.” Never had an issue.

I didn’t think you could buy humalog/novolog without a prescription. I know you can get the regular human insulins otc though. In the case of those, yes you just go up to the pharmacy counter, ask for novolin r (shortest acting) and that’s it.
