Is muscle memory actually a thing?

I’ve been out of training completely for 5-6 months. Got injuries on both shoulders.

Through this time I’ve been in the hospital off and on as well traveling, couldn’t always get my trt or protein or yada yada.

Before this I was doing pretty good - 5 11, 190 - 10 maybe 12 tops percent fatty

Now I’m just a fatty 😩 like 22 percent (just guessing) and I also lost, I kid you not, 15 lbs.

Going to cut on 600mg test e and then cruise and then back to 600 test e for bulk.

Will these gains be “fast” compared to when you first create that muscle or is it just ground 0?

Heard lots of my marine buddies talk about muscle memory.

Muscle memory is very real. You will reacquire Muscle tissue faster than the time it took to initially build it. Provided you train properly and eat enough.

Absolutely is. I took a year off during COVID and focused on running.

Before COVID I was 215 @ 5’11 and 7-8%. After, 180 and probably 18-20%. After about 6 months (supported by 200-300mg/wk of test only), 205 and 7-8%. Came back really quick.

Can confirm. I’ve always been a shitty bencher. Stopped working out. Started up again. Still a shitty bencher. :)
